This is why I game on multiple platforms.
Some 3ds games have touch, gyro, camera and mic features. It would have kind of been in the same boat as the Vita TV when in docking mode. Plus we don't even know if a gyro or camera is in the switch.
Because consoles are still main priority for Rockstar. Also I've heard that they don't like mods on there games.
Myth. It's called inflation. Also games are more more complex and harder to build majority of them have online components which need to be maintained. And how can it be a myth when developers have given how much they've spent. Destiny was over 500 million dollars. GTA was 265 million. Compare that to GTA 4 which was around 100 million.
Because the general consumer of games thinks that 60 dollars is to high to pay for a game.
A lot of crying in this comment section. Game development has gone up. Games prices should have gone up as well. Microtransactions are put in place to bridge the gap. And when done fairly like cosmetics don't give anyone an unfair advantage. Microtransactions have also taken over the place of games splitting the user base by charging for maps. Would you (A) rather have the option to pay for some skins or (B) pay 100 plus for every game you buy?
Different people reviewing the game.
I so love when gamers talk like they have a clue how a company utilizes their money. Do you know how much is spend on security alone? And didn't the PS4 just get a huge 4.0 update?SMH.
Microsoft stepped in and funded the game when the company wasn't sure about making another Tomb Raider game so soon. The original reboot took them a long time to make a return on the game. So they took the direction that not only got them help making the game and promoting the game. But also gets the game comes out earlier than they expected.
Not supporting the game at this point will show them that they don't need to make another game.
I'm a Sony fan but not for nothing they both do this. Street Fighter and No man Sky ring a bell. Square wouldn't have made the game anytime soon if Microsoft didn't step in and fund the game. So what is better wait a year or wait years?
If Microsoft didn't step in and fund the game because they needed something to counter Uncharted we wouldn't be seeing a Tomb Raider game anytime soon. The first game took forever to make them a return.
Matter of fact what happened to the cloud and DX12?
Those aren't behind a paywall anymore. They changed a lot of their policies when PSN didn't have those feature behind a paywall. But Upload Studio still requires live.
Xbox could win the NPD. But you also have to factor in that the ps4 is now 300 and releasing games like Persona 5 in Japan which will widen the gap even more worldwide. Only time will tell.
You do know that PC is an open platform right. So why the comparison to consoles. Simple things like Netflix cost the console manufactures a licensing fee to put it on there platform. You have no idea how much they spend on security or running servers but are quick to call them greedy.
So putting millions into security isn't PSN. Bringing new feature to PSN doesn't cost money? Having servers for millions of players to connect, talk and party across doesn't cost money?
And that vision was funded by what? And that was exactly my point. Because they gave it for free it cost them and they weren't able to keep up with the competition. Things would have happened a lot faster and more if there was a subscription fee. So back to my original statement it did cost Sony to give the service for free.
Right before the Switch comes out. Smart move.
