It might be free for the consumer but not for the publisher. Microsoft has said that giving BC took a lot of time and money to make the emulation work. This is time and money taken away from new studious or IP's.

And not just the power what about very small HD space and the fact that the higher memory carts cost devs more money. I would do the same if I was EA. This game looks more appealing to the Nintendo audience anyways.
Everyone loves to blame EA and don't say anything about Nintendo. Maybe the game can't fit on the cart. Maybe they didn't want to downgrade their game to run it on the Switch which people wouldn't buy anyways. Everyone is quick to complain but be honest with yourself even if it was the regular version of FIfa you still wouldn't buy it.

You have to buy Nintendo products quickly cause you never know when there going to pull the plug or make it scarce in a certain region. But why is this even news? It's a 60 dollar retro console vs 300 dollar console.
