FyBy - Thank you for that. The fact remains the Cell was harder to program for, thus emulation is very difficult to achieve. If it were easy I'm sure it'll be done, it doesn't interest me one bit - BC is not what I look for in a console.
Why? Most of the best games on PS3 had better sequels on PS4 or they were remeastered. BC wears pretty thin, pretty fast.

DaDrunkenJester - I think it refers to the chipset not software/OS. Sony used a custom chipset with PS3 (CELL) as we all know. ms tended to use more traditional off the shelf (albeit customized) parts.
All those games I've already played - I can play again! New games be gone, the future is yesterday.

I've watched CP2077 a few times, but that's it - I was expecting a lot more from ms tbh. And I can't stand ms.
For xbox owners it's normal to have slim picking at the tail end of a generation, actually slim pickings all gen is closer to the truth.
But you they did services and service announcements and heaps of console revisions. Remeber, Stadia = bad - xcloud = good. Shakes head.

I must be slow - VR is no gimmick, it works, it's gaining popularity and it seems Sony's 1st party has worked out what works best for VR games. It will co-exist with traditional gaming, but it going anywhere soon.

Fair chance Sony won't bundle it with PS5, and it's not a gimmick - it works. I know a gimmick that was bundled with a console - it's name escapes me.
