Because that one game is by an industry legend, and the trailer revealed so much. If it was shown on the show floor it would've been HUGE. They chose not to and look at the reception it received.

As true as that statement is - Sony said so themselves - if they did go, what's been revealed the last fortnight would've destroyed anything else. The exception being CP2077.
You can't believe that, ms should have gone for the kill. They need all the momentum going into next gen. They've been stuck in 1st gear all gen, looking back, looking forward - all the while not addressing the problem right in front of them.
Christopher - If they did they would've shown Death Stranding and release date, FF7, Iron man VR, Nioh 2. Anything of note shown at other conferences wouldn't have come close. The best thing shown at E3 is also playable on PS4.

Remember all those 14 xbox game studio games - did they deliver on that? Are you happy with how they that translated into DLC in most cases and cinematic trailers on others?

Why would you but an xbox? ms will support it is less and less, all their output will end up on PC. And it seems you have lots of time for gaming, you just don't like switch. Fair enough, neither do I.

It was filled games closer to release shown cinematic trailers, not very good on their part. I think this done more harm than good.

Sony manned up and said 'we don't have anything substantial to show right now' - then they drop DEATH STRANDING and today FF7 remake getting a release date. But they didn't think that was enough for a show obviously. Smart move by them, this did more harm than good for ms.
Ju - Cerney simply stated Raytracing could be used for audio as well, something I didn't know.
What about some Halo gameplay? Gears gamplay? Crossfire X? Maybe the author was expecting something a little substantial than Mark Cerneys interview put in video form.
