Dirtnapster - That's why I said 'pretty much' - everyone has different tastes in games and what they enjoy. DG is not a lazy yearly reboot or reckon, it's a new ip and that should be applauded.
If it completely sucked and was indefensible, have at it. But that is not the case, but some just won't rest until the narrative that DG sucked becomes the norm - which it doesn't.

It's a Sony exclusive - that's it's only crime. I don't think there would be many out there with buyers remorse, it's a great game - tense, funny, looks gorgeous and sounds great too.
Why must it? xbox survived a whole generation without too much effort on the games front. Write an article or 20 about that.
You mention your backlog all the time, maybe you should worry about that and not games you don't enjoy - regardless of how easy the trophies are.

My mate on PSN messaged me as soon IGN's review dropped saying the game is getting bad reviews and he'd decided against picking it up. Me and another mate picked it up launch day, played it, sang it's praises. Convinced my other mate he should try it, turns out he loves it.
It ain't perfect - but it's still bloody fun and gorgeous to look at. Awesome ambient sounds too, blow stuff up and hear the debris/shrapnel hitting the dirt all around you. Top shel...
And look how ND grew from developing UC, UC2 is a masterpiece. This game deserves a sequel or BEND deserves another crack at a AAA title. It's not without flaws, but they're a solid studio and would've learned A LOT from making DG.

Deacon isnt aware that he was doing that. It's a realisation after a conversation with NPC later in the game.
They explained in the game that the highways were clogged up with people panicking, they got overrun by freakers. Maybe it was decided bikes were more maneuverable and allowed more freedom.
Look at MAD MAX - Petrol is the primary currency, so let's make gas guzzling cars.
Sometimes you've just gotta not look at things too critically, there's plot holes in most movies/games. Some bigger than others.
pietro1212 - 360 numbers were inflated by RROD, ms best effort so far - but like we all know they did have a year to themselves and blew it.
Killed support for 360, moved all development to one, bombed the reveal of one - the rest is history.
A fair chunk - most games are 3rd Party. What separates a console from the rest is the quality of its 1st and 2nd party games.
The game is good no doubt about that, and you are spot on about the reviews. It was never going to be GOW or HZD level, it's not far off - I think some people couldn't wait to give a Sony exclusive a bad rap.
But what do they know? The game is well worth a buy.
