Listen up and listen good - I never said Sony exclusive or published titles cater to everyone's needs. You liking turn based jrpgs is your choice, and guess what? You've been spoilt for choice on Sony consoles.
Ya see - they don't just specialize in one genre, they welcome all genres and expressions of talent.
As far as Atari goes - the less said the better, having a market to yourself only to have it snatched away to the point where you are...
Segata - So you don't want a remake of IX? I'm a little confused.
Falcono - I don't wish anything of FF, I'll buy this but this is here nor there for me.
Support this remake and that might convince SE to do that, shitting on it ain't going to help.
...we have seen this game a 100 times already.
Like 95% of the games released?
PREDATOR - enough said, another hit incoming.
FF7 is looking great.
ps360owner09 - That's what I said. Europeans tend to think for themselves. And why is it so strange? PlayStation has offered the best gaming across the board EVERY generation they've been in.
That's not to say that other companies haven't released classics - far from it. But Sony has a mountain of classics dating back to PS1. Sony and PlayStation are the ones that grew the industry, Nintendo kept it alive - Sony made it what it is today.
...
Neonridr - That's why the word 'typically' was used.
ok
EU only.....for now.
ps360owner09 - Western games selling better this gen is a good, so do we downplay the signifiganve of Days Gone achievement? Or do we celebrate it?
HUGE reason for Europe to 'appear to blindly follow Sony' - because their hardware is the best supported and most reliable out of the HD consoles. Each previous gen Sony had a little ace up it's sleeve - CD, DVD, BluRay. Also Europe also loves GT.
This gen they had so much positive momentum nothin...
You should be aware that typically western games don't sell well, even the highly rated ones. That's Japan only not the rest of Asia.
DG topped the charts in UK and that is one Sony weaker countries in Europe. It topped the charts in Aus also.
It's looking very positive from a sales stand point.
That is a HUGE number of sales for a western game and new ip to boot. Sony and BEND deserve all the success DG is enjoying.
chiefJohn117 - S2 wrote that HAHAHA, THAT'S WHAT I DISAGREED WITH. If you read and understood my comment - I referenced a statement Lord Phil had made regarding ms not doing traditional console cycles anymore.
You seem to lack the basic cognitive dexterity to keep up. And I ain't no scholar myself.
The future is looking bright /s
chiefJohn117 - I actually disagreed with that ya peanut. Ending console 'cycles' is not ending consoles. You lot really need everything spelt out for you.
You really aren't the brightest spark mate.
chiefJohn117 - Do you remember Lord Phil saying he wants an end to traditional console cycles?
10 yrs - another slight exaggeration there.
Are you aware or just ignorant to the fact ms has released more console variations this gen than new ips or what could be considered a true exclusive.
Wrong - Kotaku trying to drown the hype of a Kickstarter game. A new low, the game looks improved in every way. Can't wait for the release - backed it on KS. Very excited.
It's not their market to end HAHAHA, they're a bit player - making up the numbers. If they want to release updated STEAM machines every few years, more power them.
That's a sure way to failure, it would be like buying PC from Wal-Mart - better off building your own.
No thanks.
ms is the new Sega? I dont think so.
Nah Nintendo has a little more dignity and confidence in their ability to succeed. They know when to cut their losses and go back to drawing and come out guns blazing.
This is Sony - they believe in and have confidence in their games and longevity of their systems. There will be games that won't be ready for release on PS4 before PS5 releases, PS5 will have heaps of 1st party games, some will be cross gen some exclusive to PS5.
The game is a HUGE success, the sales numbers are great for a new ip - 2nd week top of the Aus charts (admittedly a small market).
Gamers deserve new experiences and new games..
