What happened to this game being a cross between Spy vs Spy and Bomberman? It is just Bomberman. It could've been cool if it actually had Spy vs Spy mechanics and you could go through to different rooms, dropping traps as you moved. This just looks, whatever.
We need a new, good Secret Of Mana game.
cool.
Yeah, and they're last attempt at a Capcom fused game that was matched with Capcom vs SNK, was SNK vs Capcom: SVC Chaos. It was so old looking, and boring, and had less than half the characters that Capcom vs SNK 2 had. Capcom is better at reinvisioning SNK characters than SNK is at bringing Capcom chars to their world. I even like Capcom's version of SNK chars better. Namco needs to get back to the basics.
Screens seem to be getting worse and worse for this game.
The beta was suppose to start when PS4 released in Japan, which is right now.
@kingfetish17, Yeah, and early last year there were hints of it when pics of Mark Cerny and Yu Suzuki were posted on sites. I remember Suzuki saying Sega wouldn't give him the license, but now that they lost the trademark, it seems there's a huge opportunity for him now, and we already know he badly wants it. So, I have a strong feeling that PS4 might have another quality exclusive in it's hands very soon.
I think it's because the policies of Microsoft with Xbox 360. They don't allow you to have multiplat games on their platform if it is considered superior in any way on another platform. And they also have a rule that they may be changing now out of necessity with Xbone that you couldn't bring games to their platform that were released on another console first. So, it makes devs more likely to make them the lead platform, so that if anything isn't perfect it'll be best on t...
Oh, you're talking about the nonsense about it going over 60 FPS and having that effect?
Nah, it's definitely dropping to low FPS in certain cases. I think it's just Infinity Ward and their horribly optimized code. I guess it's because the game's lead platform was Xbox 360, and everything else is basically a crude port. They need to really work on each version of the game, rather than just porting the code verbatim and getting it to where it runs on each p...
Good stuff, now they just need more overall performance improvements on PS4. The game lags down to super low FPS when running around, and even more when there's explosions and smoke grenades going off. Especially on the castle map. This should not be an issue on PS4, given it's only 12 - 18 players on the map and the graphics aren't really pushing the hardware. It needs more optimizations on PS4.
I hear ya. Well, that's nice to hear. Good luck with the launch.
The only thing about this game that was interesting was its uniqueness. How you control the player and all was kind of intriguing. It's funny how they were going on and on about how it only took a month of part-time coding from one of their guys to get it fully up and running on PS4. Now it's being delayed left and right, good thing I wasn't really anticipating this one.
@ Lukas_Japonicus, the game is definitely coming to the west. Crapcom is known for excessive trolling. They just want people to stay tuned and keep conversation going about the game. To be honest, I think they need to stop the crap and just make sure they do the game right, without a highway robbery microtransaction infrastructure.
LOL, who would believe it's not coming to the west when the main trailer was in English and the game has a very obvious Dragon's Dogma typ...
Crapcom has let each and every cherished IP go to hell. Street Fighter still has a team behind it that makes sure it is polished and balanced, though I was never keen on the Focus Attacks in SFIV, mainly because the motivating factor that caused them to implement it. They were doing the same lame thing they did with Capcom vs SNK 2 EO, trying to add some easy function to bring in more casuals. The game is not made for casuals, it's not even the type of game a casual gamer wants to play. S...
It's funny how Microsoft is suddenly trying to play the little innocent Nintendo role. "Oh, it's all about the fun and gameplay, system power is not what's important." It doesn't look/sound as believable coming form you Microsoft, damage control at its finest.
Lets be honest, they thought PS4 would only have 4GB GDDR5 ram, which it would if the 512mb chips didn't come out in time. So, they'd have a huge advantage in that area of future proofi...
About time this game was mentioned again. Hope it turns out good, I like the idea that it's made to be played in a tactical manner of a fighting game.
Lol, exactly. It is 1080p x 60fps on last gen consoles also. It's a very lightweight advanced 2D engine that can run smoothly on weaker mobile platforms even. So, it's pretty corny for this article to even exist. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between Minecraft on PS4 vs Xbone either. That doesn't mean anything. Wait until a game like Destiny or Watch Dogs comes out, and it'll be right back to the real deal of Xbone lagging far behind and having to sacrifice r...
Hah, yeah, but remember, that part we created beforehand and locked on disc was on a separate special DLC budget, so it's ok to charge you for it twice.
It's because X1's specs are so inferior, yet the Kinect and Microsofts greed and refusal to take any loss on hardware sales has the console priced a whole $100 more than the superior console spec-wise. Microsoft still has many restrictive rules and loopholes for devs to jump through, while the competition is a much more pleasant environment for independents and larger teams. It's more difficult this time around to get a grasp of the X1 hardware and get something optimized fully co...
I never really played much of Dead Nation. It is a fun game though, now maybe I'll have people I know to co-op with. Now they just need to add an enhanced Pixeljunk Monsters to the PS4 PS+ instant games collection.
