I wonder how all these layoffs and cancelled projects effects that estimated number of PS4 games in development we were given a while back that was like 40+ internal projects alone.
FFXIV beta let you pre-download. I was thinking about it alot when I was anticipating downloading Infamous at 3AM. Then like the next day there was that interview with one of the Infamous devs saying that pre-downloading wouldn't be here until April. Good to see them moving more quickly.
That looks a lil like Rosario Dawson.
Yep, except it wasn't so dilusional last gen, when Microsoft had the console world by the balls.
Now, it's laughable when it's from the X1 vs PS4 perspective with all the positives going to PS4, including the most important one being PS4 is in more homes than X1 right now. That, plus it being easier to develop on - making development time quicker, and with more power to spare for your visuals so less has to get sacrificed to hit 30-60fps.
X1 will ...
Yeah, it is. Although, thinking about it, they probably had the patch before they saw any reviews, because it takes time to do all that and reviews just came out. So, I assume they realized those issues were there and didn't have time to completely fix everything before the launch. So, they got it in the day 1 patch. It'll be cool if they give us some more stuff down the line, like maybe an advanced version of the UGC mission creator in the last game.
Yeah, but a current high end GPU could last for many years if it was used to it's fullest like a console GPU is. So, for the PS4/X1 to over time be able to compete with current High End GPUs performance wise will assure them a healthy console life cycle.
It seems like some of the stuff in the day 1 patch is in direct response to reviews like this.
"Difficulty Balance
Normal difficulty has been slightly increased to challenge the player’s mastery of their powers
Expert difficulty has been fine-tuned to ensure it is the best experience for skilled gamers
Karma progression extended to support longer playtime
Boss Fights
The boss fights have been re-tuned for difficulty and fu...
I love that they got that much into 300mb, some of these other devs are just sloppy with their patchwork.
And, isn't it 6 hours of gameplay then? Since the 4 story missions Cole pack is about 1 hour gameplay, and the 19 story missions Paper Trail DLC is 5 hours gameplay.
Either way, I can't wait to start downloading this game at approximately 3am.
I hate articles like this, trying to take away developers options based on their personal bullsh*t. No one cares if you buy the 'excuse' that those plot points are essential to the game. Take that crap somewhere else.
I've been saying this to myself since I pre-ordered like 2 days ago. They should let you preload games like on Steam and recently FFXIV on PS4 let you preload the game. Cool to know we'll be preloading more often after April.
lmao.
Well as of now, it's said to hook up to the PS4 through HDMI and USB. If your PC has HDMI input, then you should be able to atleast connect it. If it's possible it can work through PC through drivers, some genius will manage to get it going.
What would be even awesomer is if it let us download the game early, like the FFIV Beta or certain Steam games. So we can just download the unlock key at midnight and start playing the game right away. Instead of, in some cases, hours later(for 24GB, that'd be like 4+ hours for me.). It's still better at midnight than after 5pm though, so that's cool.
I don't really have glitches, but the PS4 OS is a little clunky. Sometimes it freezes up for a sec or 2 when moving through the menus and titles. It's an issue with the OS, or drivers or something on PS4 right now, because it's definitely not just me that has this happen on their PS4. They need to get that taken care of, because the dashboard comes up pretty instant, but it's pointless how instant it is if things are gonna freeze for like 4 seconds right after I start moving a...
Could'a guessed it'd be another clone character. No one was asking for a doll, they are just doing what they do. Spend as little on development as possible, and put a nice fat price tag on it. Street Fighter is like the last thing keeping me looking to Crapcom. They need to hurry up with SF5 already, and it better be geared towards the hardcore fans like they said it'd be. Otherwise, SF will become like RE, where I don't even peep new info on upcoming sequels anymore because i...
I knew it wouldn't be any GTA sized map with the level of detail and graphic fidelity of the whole game. It seems like just about enough for an inFAMOUS game.
If only that's what the patch was for.
That's pretty cool of them.
I completely agree on the "thank goodness for Multiplat titles". I had to buy stinking COD cuz there was nothing out, I'd told myself long before that that MW3 was gonna be my last COD. I got my PS4 though, and nothing was out, so I was playing f2p games like Blacklight: Retribution to hold me off until something good came out. My nephew got his PS4 shortly after me and got COD right away, and that's the only other person I know right now that has a PS4, so I ended up having...
It seems like something that could be normal, it's just that we are hearing about it instead of it going under the radar. Ever since the announcements of X1 and PS4 last year, the articles have been nonstop, no potential piece of news goes unreported on Sony or Microsoft right now. So, it may seem bigger than it really is, just because it's so exposed to us.
