Rift is an example of a Free to Play MMO system done right.
Even though I prefer to play on my desktop, this is my laptop:

It was $1899 when I bought it. I prefer Sager over most but this MSI seemed like the best deal with a 780m at that time.
Their "investment" (it's called pledge) returns are different ship (packages) they are purchasing. I am not justifying it but it's not like they receive NOTHING on the return. Have a look yourself:

All these packages come with as little as the game and the ship (with some incentives as beta access) all the way up t...
Great story, great game! I felt like I was in a Stephen King book/movie.
I quit WoW back in 2010 and never looked back. I ask others, "Why do you still play that game?" ...and act like other MMOs are superior. smh ..... I won't lie, I miss it at times! Such a smooth MMO that did nothing really bad. To all those who still play it.... Game On!
I maxed out TR on my old 580GTX 1.5gb. I'm confused with their benchmarks.
Can't wait! I still play Legends of Grimrock with user created dungeons!
Oh, I agree. It would be awesome to see a nicer looking Minecraft! :) But I was making a point that some graphics are pre-made to a certain level. You COULD make the Tomb Raider graphics even better on the PC with the current technology but the developers went to a certain limit.
I bet Minecraft looks just as well on the PS4 (if ever available) as it would on the PC, also. The fact remains is that the PC could do MORE if the developers pushed it. Congrats to the PS4 for getting to the level of graphics that my previous video card (a 3 year old GTX580) maxed out easily. /golfcalp
But just like how I personally don't understand why people own vehicles such as a Bentley because you never know how good/bad something is until you experience something b...
O.O
Totally agree. I prefer Nexus so much that I have a lifetime sub for premium servers. Like you said, there are more mods on the Nexus site. This may be due to the size limit cap Steam Workshop has for mods. Last time I checked it was still a 100mb limit. That sucks for games like Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim.
This should be B2P like Guild Wars 2. I can deal with an upfront purchase and a cosmetic only item store to supplement funds lost from no P2P system.
Loved the first! Immediate pre-order once available!
and The Division
Vanguard had such a rough start that people moved on very quickly. The last time I played it (roughly 3 years ago) it was a damn good game! ... just empty... :/
Spawn ... well, I don't know if he's classified as a "Super(Hero)" but he deserves another game!
At first I thought I saw a "5.0/10" and thought, "Meh, kind of expected." Then I realized that it was actually a ".5/10" and took a double take! Author seems pretty disgusted, to say the least, with this remake.
Wholeheartedly agree with you. The chances of this happening, I'm sure, is rare enough. So, if it happens to the one out of "insert number here" games I purchase Early Access from, I will be more upset that a small studio collapsed than losing my money. Most Early Access games are sub-$20. OH NOES!!!
Vaporware? It's available for everybody on PC right now. Heck, I've had it for almost a year. Yes, it's "Early Access" but not Vaporware.
Check out Angry Joe's early impressions (Levels 1-10) posted yesterday. They allow him to break NDA:

This is how I felt that last beta.
