As a PC gamer myself, I've never understood this comment. To casuals yes. But to more hardcore gamers, if you're good with a gamepad and have a nice pair of FPS Freaks or something equivalent, you'll be just fine. I'm probably the 1% that is a HUGE PC gamer, but hates M/K. I will ALWAYS use a controller if I can. Honestly, I've flat out not purchased MP focused games that don't support controllers (or intuitive controls with input mapper) because that's how I like ...

2011 was a different time in gaming my friend. If you kept up with all aspects of gaming and not just your preferred platform (which is understandable if you don't keep up, so I'm not knocking you there), you'd know PC gaming has been on a serious incline for the past few years. More accessible, more games, more support, etc. GTA V was a MASSIVE hit on PC. It's in the top 10 played daily Steam titles. With the success of that along with GTA Online ...

@Septic

Incorrect. While you two can compare pixels and FPS of limited machines. The inevitable PC version will be the best version as was GTA V.

Oh you got me? Well shucks. I mean, since you want to dive into specifics. Are YOU really going to compare a home console to a hybrid console that's 1/4 the dimensions of a PS4 that's built with portability in mind? Don't play pixel count with me "dude", I'm a PC guy, it's kind what were apparently known for until you Sony fanboys finally got a taste of 1080p 60fps and all of a sudden want to count pixels and frames. Get off your hi...

Actually I'm more of a PC "fanboy" IF anything. I game on PC, PS4, Switch, Wii U and 3DS. PC being preferred. Since you decided to indirectly compare the graphic fidelity and performance to other consoles, I spoke about the other console I own. The PS4. I'm not going to speak about Xbone because I don't have one nor will I ever need or buy one. Your uneducated, uniformed opinion is the only thing hilarious here.

And the PS4 can't even run Knack's "kiddie graphics" at 1080p 60fps, you need a PS4 Pro and even that can't run native 4K 60fps. The Switch console itself is roughly the same size as a PS4 controller. The fact that the little tablet can run this game with "kiddie graphics" at 1080p 60fps at 1/4th the size and being portable is pretty impressive. Especially considering the power of the PS4 compared to the Switch.

@SolidStateSnake

Because Gears doesn't rely on one thing and one thing only. Gears also has an INSANE amount of content. Between 2 player co-op campaign with tons of a variety, action packed scripted events, vehicles, turrets, etc. Not to mention local MP with bots, online multiplayer, hoard mode, etc etc. You pay $60 and you get all that content. You pay $60 for The Order and you get the bare minimum of Gears shoot and cover gameplay and THAT'S IT. You don't ge...

Splitscreen is 900p 60fps. Its only locked at 30 for 4 player splitscreen.

Unfairly judged? Length isn't a big of a factor when you're comparing the experience to it. If that 5 hour experience is amazing then it should be praised for that. But if that 5 hour experience is not fun or just bad, it needs to be criticized for it.

Aside from the graphics, this game doesn't absolutely nothing substantial. Story is subjective. But the most generic TPS gameplay mechanics, and bare minimum, but also generic cover system followed by forced slow...

The Switch doesn't NEED major 3rd party support. If you remember correctly, the Wii outsold the 360 and PS3 without the HUGE AAA games. They had a couple COD games along with 2K and EA Sports games. But the majority of AAA 3rd party games were for PS3, 360 and PC. If the annual COD, BF, AC etc games never hit Switch it will be just fine. The fact that the Switch is portable means more exposure. As someone who lives in NYC and plays my Switch daily, I've had multiple people come up and...

It does work........You have to go in options and turn it on.........

It's been that way for years.

C'mon, you and I both know they didn't add a lot. They added a good amount. But I do agree it's not the same game with those added additions like 2-items and purple boost. I also think it's worth it for portability alone. The game itself is already great, but being able to play on the go, or just challenge your friends anywhere since it has 2 controllers built it, makes it a perfect pick up and play for anyone. I bought it for Wii U and I bought it for Switch. No regrets.

They weren't going to do it at all. They only reason they did is because information got out that they ported Skyrim to PS4 and Xbox One. Which was true because it was just for testing purposes for Fallout 4. Since the news got out, rumors started, so they said F it and went into full production to actually make a remaster instead of a port.

Don't worry, they didn't even bother to link the mods and even included a mod that's not even available for PS4.

Oh look, Foxtrot in yet ANOTHER Switch game article whining like you usually do. Honest to god question, do you actually ever play anything?

On topic. It's pretty simple. You either buy it and enjoy it, or don't. That's it. Life goes on. Support what you like, don't support what you don't like. Remember The Last of Us Remastered? Which could have easily been a digital only title and cost $20-30. Hell, they didn't even add anything. Just a resolution...

I agree. Prior to the previous Nintendo Direct, I thought it looked rather meh, but the gameplay trailer they showed actually had me interested. It's a shame it wasn't a launch title. Still unsure if I will get it day 1, but I certainly want to play it eventually since that last trailer. Could be a ton of a fun.

I should have known you read the title but didn't actually go further. Hell, even the thumbnail of the giant video embedded into the site says "Patch 1.11 Switch/Wii U Test". I doubt you have a Wii U anyway considering this patch came out last week and you apparently think Nintendo is ignoring Wii U owners.

Why would they invest more time and energy to a failed console? Even as an owner of a Wii U, I can admit it's a failed console. I think anyone can. They stopped production of the Wii U months before Zelda came out. Wii U owners are happy they can finally play Zelda, and the majority of Switch owners are enjoying their new console with Zelda. I think they reached the peak of everyone being happy for the situation they were in. They released one of the highest rated games of all times, if y...

He is speaking the truth? Did you even read the article? There's a giant picture of the author at the end, can't miss it. Clearly it's a woman. And she's not speaking the truth, because there is no "growing list". There's some minor issues just like every new console. Remember the PS4? Thumbsticks rubbing off within a week on the DS4, disc being stuck in the system etc. All minor launch issues that every console goes through. She clearly doesn't know what she...

Did you even read the article though? "Growing list of a problems" yet the author mentions one, admits they don't own one, then spends the last article talking about stickers for your Switch. This isn't even an opinion piece. This seems more like a rambling Facebook post.
