What kind of morons disagreed with this?
Consumers have a responsibility to inform themselves. Would you pity someone who spent $1200 on a gaming PC and then threw a tantrum because Steam didn't offer Final Fantasies, Suikodens or Dragon Quests?
This just makes me weep for all of the genuinely good JRPGs left to languish on Japanese shores because only otaku-pandering fanservice garbage sells in the West these days.
Hell, even Tales of Xillia starts with the pedophile-pandering panty-shots ten minutes in.
That title is insufficiently stupid for Namco Bandai.
Maybe: Ace Combat: Mach Assault Stormfront Equinox.
Exactly.
I expect nothing.
Especially because I was so blown away by prior Directs.
Well, that just moved the game up to a day 1 import.
SPIRIT GUN!
"Pushing a console to its limits" refers primarily to how bloated the code can get without causing massive framerate dips.
And a whole bunch of even more impressive games in between 'em.
...
And, really? EA is going to say this after Dragon Age 2, a game that would have been mid to low tier on the PS2? Really?
...I'm still waiting for an XMB update that will let us sort game content alphabetically.
Funny, I thought people who cared about trophies were the definition of casual.
I should hope not.
Gameplay quality is totally independent from mechanical fidelity or any other aesthetic variable. All a "next gen" game really is, ultimately, is a shiny new coat of paint slopped over "last gen" gameplay systems.
Hardware generations really haven't effected gameplay since the Nintendo 64 and Playstation allowed for that dramatic shit from 2D game development to 3D game development. That, really, changed everything; ...
Such a great game.
He's trolling.
Everyone knows the only software updates that destroy whole systems are from Adobe.
It's a good game. I recommend it.
I've probably spent a good 30 hours on it and have only done 70% of the puzzles so far. It's the only eShop game I keep coming back to.
Incomplete list.
DLC for Tales of Xilia and Dynasty Warriors 8 has been confirmed, so the list is probably lacking a lot of other stuff, too.
I'm not sure I can even call Skyrim a good game.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great experience... but the underlying mechanics--the actual game systems--really aren't all that satisfying.
Such a missed opportunity.
Well, can't say I'm surprised, given how the last game these guys made went.
Still, if you're going to make a game about thieving, the author to use as inspiration isn't Agatha Christie... it's Maurice LeBlanc.
That's high praise.
I guess Entertainment Buddha must be a good site, though I've never heard of it before. Last week Sven Vincke posted about gaming media on his blog, and basically said that he was becoming more discerning about who he showed off his games to--and who he would send review copies too--so that only journalists with knowledge/interest in the genre (and a history of writing competent reviews) would get copies.
So, congrats, guys.
Now that Wasteland 2 has been delayed, this is my no.1 most anticipated game for the rest of 2013.
Though the new Ace Attorney and Total War come pretty close to it.
If anyone is unsure: this article is pure drivel.
The basic gist of it is that the guy thinks Toriyama ought to be making eroge instead.
Herpderp.
Summer 2013 has some of the best games ever.
Divinity: Dragon Commander
Shadowrun Returns
Total War: Rome II
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Mario & Luigi Dream Team
Pikmin 3
Dynasty Warriors 8
Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly re-release
Earthbound re-release
Dragon's Crown
Tales of Xillia
Hell, The Last of Us ain't even on my list. This is only a bad...
