I don't know.
If Zombie games stay popular, it would be a good setting to revisit, as AFAIK it's the only zombie setting out there with any real depth to it.
But I really don't want another linear action game through set-pieces from Naughty Dog. I'd love to see them return to their roots and do another segmented open-world adventure, and the setting of The Last of Us would be a perfect stage for that kind of game.
It's a bit silly to expect a release date for Monotlith's game considering they haven't even shared the games TITLE yet.
And are we really at the point where people think seeing gameplay footage of a game indicates an imminent release? Really? Hasn't this generation been the site of some of the LONGEST delays in development in gaming history? I mean, come on, people--remember Versus XIII?
Bravely Default is good.
But it wasn't developed by Square-Enix. Bravely Default was developed by Silicon Studio (the same people who made 3D Dot Game Heroes).
Square Enix has published a lot of really good games, but the only good games they've actually developed are either remakes of older Square or Enix IP, or Final Fantasy XII (which was only mostly good due to being developed partly before the merger, and all the bad aspects of the game can be linked dire...
He could have saved himself a good deal of breath by saying, "I don't think Western game media should rely so much on Google Translate."
No.
Everything Square-Enix has ever done will hurt FFXV's sales, because SE has proven itself surprisingly incompetent when it comes to developing good games.
I wouldn't expect to see Monolith's X until 2015. And Bayonetta 2 will likely be a Q4 game.
The list also mentions three "unknown" titles and the unannounced WiiU Zelda.
So, in other words, the list of 10 WiiU Exclusives for 2014 really only has 5 games. ~__~
Basically, it's a different genre. Battle of Z is a action-combat game, but DBZ fans are a stupid lot who think every DBZ game has to be a fighter, which is why you see so many people whining about combos.
Sony had a unified platform with the PS2, PS3, PSP and Vita to play pretty much ALL of their titles. But the PS4 cannot play PS1, PS2, PS3, PSN, or digital PS1/PS2 games. Basically, all of the digital content that we bought from Sony no longer exists on the new platform.
Ostensibly this is so they can continue to charge money for up-res'd ports and their streaming service.
Basically, it's the biggest anti-consumer move in the history of digital distri...
Just once I'd like to see a JRPG that uses the other archetypal Japanese hero template. I'm sick of teenagers. ~__~
(For those who don't know, Japanese narratives typically use one of two heroic archetypes--the pubescent, effeminate male (IE Tale of Genji and Any JRPG Ever) and the grizzled, experienced older man (IE any of Toshiro Mifune's characters; Kazuma Kiryu, Snake, Balthier, etc.)
Really nice to see Nintendo (maybe) finally moving in the right direction. Especially after the crap Sony pulled with the PS4.
And let's not forget the Capcom Zelda games, or Other M.
Nintendo has been doing this for a long time.
The main reason sales do so well for Steam is that those sales increase the longevity of software titles. If games kept selling well after release, the sales wouldn't happen.
Unlike most other developers, Nintendo's titles tend to sell steadily. They're not relying entirely on the first week's sales to get by. This is why it can take year and years (if ever) for the MSRP of a Nintendo game to decrease, and is also why you'll never see Nintendo do Steam-st...
It absolutely isn't.

Seems pointless. The WiiU boots up plenty fast. Seems indicative of Nintendo's inability to properly allocate resources.
All I want is something like a Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 with buttons. Why is that too much to ask for these days?
This isn't exactly news. They've already licensed Zelda out to Tecmo-Koei.
Right: none of the people who lack a position to publicly complain to a large audience have any complaints at all. Makes perfect sense.
The thing that makes Indie games "better" than AAA games is simply that indies take risks. When was the last time you saw an AAA game that wasn't utterly conventional in every single respect? It just doesn't happen these days.
The only people doing interesting new things with mechanics and game systems are indie developers.
Not gonna bother listening to a podcast. Anyone care to list out the games? Didn't even know Nintendo had 10 games in 2013.
No, it's a Zombie game. Just because it uses a pseudo-scientific justification for its zombies doesn't make it any less a zombie game.
