They wouldn't really work on a console. The games are set up much differently. Basically, there are only a few animations, everything is accessed via a "hub," and the maps are VERY small. I'd say about 5% the size of VC1 maps, on average.
Wow. What awful complaints.
"boohoo, I hate tanks!"
"boohoo, I hate lancers!"
"boohoo, I hate Selvaria!"
Way to completely miss the point of the game.
You mean an HD DS Lite.
Better hardware, fewer games, smaller screens.
I lost all interest in the game when I learned Lightning wasn't the main character. Serah? Really? Way to pick the least interesting cast member this side of Snowe.
And it sure doesn't help that they're recycling the same "battle system..." ulgh.
I don't think anyone has really tried to argue that phones are replacing handheld consoles.
But there is a very real argument for mobile phones supplanting the handheld gaming market.
Simply put, it's not that phones will replace handhelds, it's that the market for handhelds will continue to shrink.
Bah. Shitty hitbaiting misleading titles.
It's only 4 aircraft.
F-22A Raptor
F-117A Nighthawk
PAK-FA
F-35B Lightning II
This is very true. Handheld consoles basically exist so that people can play games in brief intervals while "on the go." that market has basically been completely supplanted by mobile phones, tablets, etc.
Basically, the handheld console no longer has a "reason" to exist.
If you look at the handheld consoles as they exist today, they exist almost entirely as a vehicle for low-budget games, simply because home consoles are so expensive to d...
I'm more interested in what Namco-Bandai will be showing off... though I guess it'll be nice to see gameplay of Frontier Gate, even though that (awful) CGI opening sequence did a lot to kill my interest in the game.
Very true. But that's also partially due to the success of the 360, for the same reason--both consoles greatly widened the casual demographic.
As for what the Wii "revolution" has changed for the industry... it's simple: motion control. Motion control everywhere.
One could also argue that the emphasis on low-tech hardware and the success of that approach has enabled both Sony and MS (more the former than the latter) to feel comfortable letti...
You hear about the teaser site?
Looks like P4P is next. Hopefully it'll be a Vita title.
"Bethesda doesn't automatically reuse old content...."
Since when?
The Playstation Vita has no internal hard drive.
The Playstation Vita will use proprietary memory cards.
These proprietary memory cards will come in (at least) 2 sizes: 16GB and 32GB.
The statements above are FACTS. They are not up for dispute or discussion.
It is likely that the Vita will come bundled with one memory card (the PSP, you will recall, came bundled with a tiny 2GB SD card). Given the PSP's smallest-card-possible, it's jus...
Here's hoping it gets localized. Though I'm a bit disappointed the premise is so similar to 999, I certainly approve of the more fantastical, surreal elements.
The art style is certainly an improvement over the fairly generic character designs in 999, which is promising.
...DQX as an MMO wouldn't really be possible, right? It's still just on the Wii, right?
Square Enix isn't going to rape and murder the DQ series, right?
Keep in mind that many of the current numbers are skewed due to the relatively poor library of games offered digitally through the PSN. This isn't really the kind of thing where you can look at "all" the data--you really have to look at specific cases.
For example, take the PSP's most recent "hit" title--Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. I, for one, would be very interested in knowing how those sales break down.
Well, that's your opinion. If you play for the combat, then it's certainly a valid one. In my opinion the things that made the first game great--the fantasy atmosphere, the exploration, the sidequests, the dialog--all took a major nosedive in the sequel.
And then there's the whole thing about the game being pitifully short, linear, and only having a half-dozen different enemies to fight.
To my knowledge, this has only been done once before. The first Macross Frontier movie, "The False Songstress," was released on a BD/PS3 hybrid along with a short (but totally awesome) Macross game based off of the (even better) PSP Macross games.
You stick the disc in the PS3, and an icon shows up under both the video tab and the games tab--pretty self explanatory. Nice to have everything on one disc.
(They're doing the same thing with the seco...
@M-Easy
It probably has to do with the fact that the Xbox 360's library is becoming increasingly less diverse compared to that of its primary competition, and the fact that it has few future games that appeal to core gamers... and it's been that way for quite some time.
There was a time with the Xbox 360 clearly had a superior library to the PS3... but that was a long time ago and some people have difficulty understanding that these things change.
Can't say I'm surprised.
Think I'll skip this one, though. After the second game, I think I'm done with the series unless they try to make it more like the first.
He did. You just had to, you know, pay attention to what he was doing, not necessarily what he was saying.
Basically, I was able to learn two very important things.
1. OS is the same clunky, iOS-clone I assumed it was when it was first unveiled. Big step backward from the XMB.
2. A... 4GB card? This is, I believe, an event commonly known as, "EPIC FAIL."
