Name one game I've played this year that has a story and isn't a sequel? I get the "sequel" bit, but the only game I've played this year that DIDN'T have a story was mario. Even if the writing is garbage, all games these days have stories.

Apparently there's a pretty goddamn large number of men out there who think a skanky woman as dumb as a bag of sand is the hottest thing ever.
I really hate the Arkham City DLC.
I don't get the appeal of characters that can only be used in the "challenge" (or w/e it's called) part of the game--it's a nice extra feature, but hardly something I care about. What I really want are the extra costumes, because the default Batman skin is... so incredibly lame.
But then you can't use them until you clear the game, which kind of negates their benefit.

My Skyrim became increasingly unstable with each new patch and now I can't even launch the damned thing.

I guess I'll just say that it was excessively verbose, poorly written, and that most of the points were inaccurate, wrong, or overly exaggerated.
Clearly, the writer doesn't realize that one need not invest so much time and effort into trolling the Nintendo fanboys for hits.
I completely forgot I even had Uncharted 3. Guess it didn't leave much of an impression on me.
Then again, Extreme Versus has been occupying a lot of my time. Looking at my shelf, I see a few other games I forgot I even bought--Ico Collection, that Rune Factory game. Crazy.
I couldn't tell if the guy was being genuine or not. If it's satirical, it's really poorly written. If it's genuine, it's really poorly written AND profoundly stupid.
Either way, it's a pretty pointless, meaningless bit of drivel and I'd advice anyone who hasn't clicked already to avoid the link.
Gamers who concern themselves with the next generation of gaming machines because "game will look better" are the lowest sort of gamers out there.
There's a reason why most PC gamers with machines that can max out the graphics on any game typically own a PS3 and Wii, too.
3DS got a bunch of 20-year-old overpriced shovelware. Huzzah!
PS3/PSP owners got a handful of games that most PS3/PSP owners already owned anyway!
So on one side you're getting something you don't want, and on the other side you're getting something you (statistically speaking) already have. Neither deal was all that good for the gamers--both are simply PR damage-control efforts.

It's like that with every high-profile game. It's easy to guess how the media and general gaming public will react to a game based on its title months or years before the game is released.
The actual quality of a given game is all but meaningless.

Sliders suck, and end up making almost every facial variant look like ass. Pre-set features are the best, because they're actually intentionally designed.
With Xenoblade and Skyward Sword, seems like this year (end 2011 begining 2012) is actually the best period for the Wii.

Anyone, I seriously doubt this would ever happen. PS3/PS2/PS1/PSP games on the PSN typically sell for an equal or greater amount than their retail counterparts.

I downloaded it.
It's sitting on my PSP right now.
Don't know that I'll ever play it (NOT a fan of horror games, particularly the overstylized "anime horror" I've seen) but I do what I can to support the release of esoteric games.
Why would that be the exception? Digital downloads are cheaper than retail--and WAY cheaper for importers.
