Wait, the Covenant? Really? I thought they were awful. It was so hard to play Halo because I always felt -terrible- about killing all of those brightly-colored, happy children who seemed to bleed in pastels. That giggling. Easily the least threatening alien this side of Alf.
And, honestly, I can't get behind most of the other listees here. Space zombies, really? Cluster of pixels in the vague shape of a flying saucer, really? Maybe if this was a list of most "iconic,...
Most Americans cannot trace their ancestry back that far.
And of those who can, the overwhelming majority find there family tree rooted deep in Europe at the turn of the 18th.
Right, because SE did such a horrible job when they re-made FF1, FF2, FF3, and FF4. Both times. What with re-doing all of the art so that it'd look better on modern displays, and increasing the audio quality.
They could do it justice. Easily.
It all depends on whether or not a remake is like Final Fantasy IV Complete, or if they decide to spew ADVENT CHILDREN ADVENT CHILDREN diarrhea all over it.
Except we did get Xenoblade and we are getting The Last Story later this summer.
It's Pandora's Tower that we're still missing.
It's just shameful--absolutely shameful--it took months and months of begging and mass petitions and general Internet outrage on an -unprecedented- level to effect change.
And odds are that's just a taste of what we'll see in the future. The Wii's hardcore 'trifecta' controversy wa...
...Except it wouldn't be "free" if it was for PS+ subscribers, and they wouldn't be "getting" it, they'd be renting it.
Uh... hasn't this ALWAYS been their design philosophy? Even their most "different" game iterations manage to recapture the same basic "feel" as every other game in the franchise.
That's kind of why, you know, Nintendo has such a big reputation for using nostalgia to push games. And has had the reputation for more than a decade.
Not quite everything. I, for one, am NOT a fan of some of the new backgrounds.
This is true, but RPGs are about a LOT more than just gameplay, so it's not really an issue. Also, the main reason Dragon Quest is able to get away with recycling the same gameplay with each new game is, you know, because they refined the system to perfection decades ago.
I'm sorry, engaging multiplayer? DD's online is the EXACT OPPOSITE of engaging. There's virtually zero interaction at all. You can't even call it multiplayer.
I think you're confusing this title with Dark Souls.
Really? I hate the pawn system.
I would have much rather been able to create my whole party, not just one member. And the whole lore-justification is creepy as hell.
Just replace the word "pawn," with, "black people," if you don't get it.
I sure do love playing Final Fantasy VII on my 3DS, Nintendo DS, Retro, Wii, Wii U and Xbox 360.
Vita is great. Of course it doesn't look good now. Japanese consoles NEVER look good in the first year because most of their games are, you know, Japanese, and can take a year or more to get released outside of Japan.
I mean, good God, just look at where the 3DS, or PSP, or DS was in their respective first years. Or the Wii. Or the PS3. Or the PS2.
This is most assuredly NOT rocket science, folks.
Yes, yes they do.
And if there's anything my time at N4G has taught me, it's that you are stupid. Very, very stupid.
So very stupid that I'm going to sit here and point out that the "you" in the previous statement was plural, not singular, and people will STILL read it the same way.
Most updates are crap, but most people also happen to like crap, so don't bother pointing it out.
Molyneux doesn't even know what the **** he's talking about when it's his own damned game. So we care about his opinion for something he's not affiliated with at all because?
I don't get why people have such a hard time understanding that the Vita, 3DS, and hell, even the original PSP were are all HD displays.
Total resoultion ain't the thing to go by. Pixel density is what ya' need to look at, and in those terms the Vita blows every other gaming device out of the water.
Aren't most MMOs F2P these days?
My vote would go Star Trek Online and LotRO.
While I'm tempted to agree that the WiiU's future is far from certain... when was the last time a gaming analyst, or anyone involved in this godforsaken medium, actually made an accurate prediction?
And you suck at reading comprehension. And, you know, life in general.
Or do you actually think Gravity Rush is supposed to be a puzzle game? Could it be you're not inept, but simply incredibly stupid?
About as awesome as the tide.
As in perfectly inevitable, and able to provide a moment or two of amusement once or twice, but still incapable of presenting much of anything interesting.
And the underlying science behind the event is worth looking into.
