Screw the guy who wrote this article. First of all, the guy who robbed the bank with a bb gun got what he deserved. from the original story-

Well. it wasn't horrible, but Doom 3 was just kinda boring.
I actually liked the idea of Armageddon's story, but they screwed it up with that weak ending (the whole third option= nothing changed thing)
I thought it was gonna reset the series kinda, but they flaked out.
executions were a nice touch. looks awesome.
Of course MGS wouldn't be the same without the cut scenes. The story is a major part of the experience.How it breaks the mold is the way the story is blended with the gameplay in such an amazing way, and how they both compliment each other. the ocelot fight for example.Brilliant.
Gears of War may be a great shooter, but there are a lot of great shooters out there.It may do what it does well, but its nothing new. Metal Gear Solid breaks the mold of what video games can be. It emphasizes having an experience, rather than just appealing to the 'I need to shoot something right now' impulse. MGS ventures away from the norms of video games and, I think, is better for it. A unique experience that not everyone 'gets'.
