Mechwarrior 4 was a great game, not quite as great at mechwarrior 3 but still awesome.
They already did, and it's called mech assault
And they show some of the interior in the mech.
You need a flight stick for the game.

I've always played the thief/rogue/assassin classes and if diablo is missing that glass-cannon I'll be disappointed.
that's why counter-strike feature 32, 64, 156 person servers... And tf2 has 32 person servers.
oh right, I've never paid for a piece of bungie DLC.... Bungie always makes their stuff free over time. Something blizzard should do with their expansion packs...
The ammount of support they give their games would make them an excellent mmo developer.
Valve is already working on an MMO.
L4D is instance-based gameplay and the director was their method to design levels which felt new and exciting, as well as have story like elements without relying on desinging new content. If you compare them to mmo games or wow instances you quickly realize just how similar they are.
tf2 speaks for itself, loot, achievement grinding, experience, levels on weapons, status effects, modifies etc. Rename medic - priest, spy-rogue,...

Some linear games could still use a waypoint, specially when developers use the same assests and everything either looks the same or gets really confusing. It would never hurt to have a waypoint/gps system in place.
Auto discard/inventory features in games. I hate having to go through 1500 pieces of junk determining which I want to throw or recycle and searching for the 1 new peice I got.
I don't know any game that lets you browse the internet.
Microsoft owns the rights to the battletech franchises. MechWarrior, MechAssault and anything else created under fasa studios, crimson skies (originally made by zipper interactive) and shadowrun.
Smith and Tinker have liscensed the games from MS, but MS still has final say.
