Halo may not have revolutionized any of the basics, but halo did everything, and it did everything to a degree of perfection many have never seen before or since. technically it runs at 2x640p, as every screen gets rendered twice for both hdr and ldr lighting. If they decided to get rid of the LDR they could've technically ran the game at 1280p. However the edram wouldn't be able to properly buffer it and since the daughter chip is in charge of the aa, it's the same reason why it still doesn't have aa.
