notice that the size of all the textures in that demo, it's a total of 318KB, and there's 1,048,576kb in a gigabyte... that's .000003% of a gigabyte.
also note that bungie is implementing a similar system for halo reach, named imposter tech, which also provides a form lod on polygons.
the 360 does not hold back the ps3, thinking ...
that engine is near identical to the look produced by blizzard.
cmon crimson skies.
I'd really like to see Lionhead make a pure Sim game set in the albion world.
just make it an MMO.
this is very very good news, 90% of console shooters which are based on a death-match mechanic have horrid spawn point locations.
edit, this is pretty much confirmed fake.
"behind closed doors is not a "new paradigm" in gaming.that's not me being scared.that's MICROSOFT being scared of ridicule by REAL GAMERS."
You're already ridiculing it, even before you've seen or tried the thing. What motivation does MS have to show something to the public when people such as yourself already have a firm and knowledgeable understanding of the product. Obviously there's no point to show the product to you, who already knows it's a ripoff, smo...
It's the evolution of Project Dimitri.

It's larger then a simple person to talk to, the game is designed to be a reflection of your own life.
Why did Crytek decide to use a fancy new super suit in crysis? I'll give you a couple of ideas:
halo Halo HALO.
Why not just use a similar backstory as the one they used for the protagonist in farcry?
the story is reminiscent of the 12 year old who says f*ck thinking that it's mature because he heard a 16 year old say it, but in the end the dialogue, characters and story is really designed to appeal to that 12-16 year old range.
Halo at least a couple interesting characters, notably 343, cortana, and the gravemind, characters which have personality. Sure there's also the cliche black dude, and tough chick and the super soldier, but the actual story make up for it.
Rockband probably needs more space than natal, that didn't stop it from being a success, same goes for wii fit.
As for your vision camera spam, saying it over and over again doesn't make it true. Developers have used it and worked with it, they're not they're same, hardware experts have said their not the same, so WHY do you keep saying it is?
Your comments come off as being scared, of what? I have no idea.
these comments are of Ian Livingstone, president for Eidos, not peter molenyeux.
Because dvd's are still popular, and not every tv channel is HD etc.
Developers are only just starting to take advantage of DX11 hardware, and DX11 will likely have the longest shelf life of any DX revision due to the introduction of parallel threads, and direct compute shaders.
I've seen tech demo's for what DX11 can and will be doing in a short time, and it's amazing.

2 of them concerning privacy... I think people are jumping on the MS hate trail a little early.
