why do people act as if developers are their friends?
.
I don't think it will be a guaranteed success. People want more from their handhelds now, just like people want more from their consoles.
Unless nintendo takes steps to integrate phone capabilities, I see people ignoring the new portable for the next gaming iphone, android, xna phone, w/e.
can't the same be said about non violent videogames?
to quote miyamotot, "developers needed to beware not to narrow down the potential of what games can do".
If you don't explore violence in your videogames, you're also narrowing your potential. I think there are as many people getting bored of the bright and playful style of nintendo as there are people getting bored of the gritty and violent style of modern warfare.
1. sony owns the Heavenly sword IP.
2. disc space does not have any impact on the quality of a game.
what do you think that picture is of?
I really enjoyed kung fu chaos.
read disc error's, lasers falling out of casings, and overheating on the launch slims.

Who wouldn't want their console to be insured for longer?
3 years should be the industry standard on all electronics.
Havok can run on openCL, which means it's also gpu based, just like physx. Unlike physx, which sucks in comparison imo, it's also available to all platforms, not just nvidia cards.
Not to mention with dx11, a lot more of physics in games will be accomplished via compute shaders.
And I also felt the art style was a breath of fresh air.
I also really, really liked the ending, even though I didn't want it to happen.
Since it's based on the same engine they used for never winter nights, I'd love to see it reworked for an MMO game.

No one said that the ps3 is copying the wii's tech, and I then provided two examples which out date the tech on the wii by large margins, 25 years, and 8 years respectively.
People are saying that Sony is copying motion controls, the same motion controls that NINTENDO made popular.
do you honestly think that nintendo wasn't developing motion controls prior to the wii?
If sony wasn't copying the wii, they would've decided to take the same route as nintendo and forgo a gamepad altogether as opposed to releasing move now. The ps3 would've been based around Move to begin with.
Truth is, Microsoft copied the wii, Sony is copying the wii. Whether or not the product was in development prior is irrelevant. Just because you find a tech demo from 2004 do...
omg. Stop this sony was developing stuff since X bullsht, it's absolutely pathetic. Motion controls have been around since 1980.
Le-Stick - for the atari 2600.

Microsoft's sidewinder was released in 1998.

Because Activision can just not be trusted anymore.
and you're making that assumption based on what exactly?
While I don't doubt it'll be something we might need to see to understand, I don't think it's anything near the level of a bicycle.
The release of a slim would be fitting with the relaunch concept MS has in store for natal.
The ninja gaiden series is still my favorite hack and slash game. Games like god of war and dante's inferno feel like bored and repetitive button mashers compared to ninja gaiden black.
I guess it's one of the reasons I liked bayonetta more then god of war 3.
