next generation will be going in a whole new direction... It looks like a lot of it will be built into 1 board not around the GPU/CPU pc systems.
I think it'll work more like.
1gpu die, 1cpu die, 1ppu die, etc. all coupled together.
that city scene made me speechless.
one of the dumbest comments I've read on the board. Honestly.
Also speed of ram is just as important.
they're not supporting 10.1?
Didn't 10.1 actually increase the yields on radeon cards by around 20% for the assassins creed benchmark?
it's not a big factor because the games are designed around the number of possible players. Personally having 8 player co-op might actually make the single player seem somewhat dwarfed. However if it's done properly and the gameplay works then it'll be great.
It's like multiplayer, Halo (or gow, or anything) is amazing with 4 on 4 but it could easily do 16 on 16 or 24 on 24, but that was bungies decision on how that would work and they felt it took away from the team mechanics ...
only because I think that being almost completely alone in washington will only enhance the desperatism and desctruction in the world outside the vault.
It's sorta like the after effects of war, when they do comercials for poverty the most striking at with little to no people in them, little to no sounds and just a view of the general destruction and poverty in that area.
didn't he say that the ps3 could render games in 1080p resultion on 2 screens at the same time...
all films run at 24fps, but eachframe is played twice making it actually run at 48fps.
if you're going to support any mod thats adding new tech features to hl2 i would support dreamscape. It's actively adding relief mapping which is amazing.
but I own a 15gig flashbased harddrive (set me back almost 300 dollars) which I use for my os, and trust me... mandatory installs are getting insane.
for every game that does it well 15 do it badly. It needs to stop. Unless your placing your entire focus into it, don't even bother.
Party games need to go too, they should be side games included in the feature title, like in super mario galaxy, they should have included 3 or 4 of the party games from the main game, like surfing/shell racing etc.
the bsod was the scariest moment ever in a videogame.
But i though the introduction of the flood in halo:ce was extremely well done and completely un expected.
unless microsoft says " we don't want this new IP" then they can go to another publisher and make it multi-platform.
MS has the first call on any game being made by bungie.
because if MSG games should only be reviewed by a select amount of people, only halo fanboys should review halo, only mario fanboys should review mario etc, sony fans review sony games, nintendo fanboys do nintendo games etc. Every game would score a 10.
MGS is a game and if it's not designed for everyone then reviewers need to reflect that. An 8 is a very good score for the game, and a very deserving one, and one thats a good indicator for people who never played any of the prev...
theres a lot of possibilities.
PGR5 and forza 3 are being worked on, both would complement the systems lineup by providing a racing game.
We have alan wake and halo wars which we very oddly not presented with the other titles like banjo so both fit the possibility. Not to mention splintercell was absent from ubidays, and the developers have been tight lipped on why.
Lips and Xblade were rumored titles that were supposed to get some release inform, however ...
kojima, cliffy b, the guy that made god of war, the lead valve developer.
All think they're better then they are.
But i agree, the game is designed for people who want the game/genre, not for people who want to get into the game/genre. Same with certain rts games.
for being exactly what the game is supposed to be.
it's hard, sometimes frustrating, but the gameplay is what makes it so great. Not to mention, the story still sounds more plausible then mgs.
that's a relief, it sounds exactly like the first, which is exactly what I want.
