What I bet will happen, is MS will help fund his studio similar to mistwalker.
If itagaki wins the lawsuit I bet he'll start up his own studio anyways so all MS would have to do is endorse it and provide some extra funds.
cod4 runs the exact same on the ps3, and it required a separate dev team.

they have a couple first party developers already, they recently let bungie go independent and incorporated fasa studio (they still own all original IP's for fasa though, and the halo ip, as well as pgr).

everyone copies from everyone else. I could list a hundred things that sony and nintendo stole from other people. (like motion control... which they both stole from MS, or trophies... like those aren't just achievement points =/, and like home isn't anything more the Second life without all the furries, or like mii's aren't similar to the hundreds of other make your own avatar things on the interent.)

see, now I have to disagree, warfcraft is better than starcraft. All of the rts games I listed are, the problem with starcraft is it's popularity. It's popularity made up for it's shortcomings since so many people played it, it had a thriving community but that didn't make the game any better. It's still a pretty shallow rts game.
and I don't care if people disagree with me.
The man does his job, he approaches it in a different way.
to me it seems, He looks at the entire package then finds faults in the game.
Most reviews today look at the faults and compare them to the positive features in the game.
His way is better because it implies that no game can be perfect, while the second only requires the best to be better than the worst is bad.

but that's not microsofts fault.
It's obvious that the game has suffered from the tecmo vs itagaki debacle. However the fighting and gameplay mechanics are still as visceral as ever, I just wish it wasn't so linear.
it's a great game.
As for too human, silicon knights have yet to make a bad game, and this title isn't getting as much notice as it deserves IMO.

if you look at the shots on kotaku the images look a little bit better at a slightly lower res.
but it's not really only the beginning, it seems like the beginning is starting in september as I'm hard pressed to find much of anything worthy between now and then.

yeah, microsoft first party games suck...
even though they own some of the most respected developers in the industry, and some of the most well known franchises.
mgs sure is getting close.

I bought my Motorstorm PS3 before uncharted came out, then returned it afterwards and bought a wii with prime for galaxy.
since MGS4 was right around the corner, numbers are pretty low.
a game that's smart doesn't require a complex, overly convoluted story. The most comples stories are extremely simple, not like the ones in MGS4.
Bad stories need a lot of twists and a bunch of subthemes
they have paper thin character with extremely awkward backstories
they're overly complex.
All these things MGS4 suffers from.
they've been put on "hold" until other titles have been completed...
unless microsoft is removing focus from their current blade setup. Which is possible. There's rumors that they have a very interesting new take on Xbox live coming up, which is why there's no spring update.
but blades will still be around, even if focus would be moving to the new console. Why get rid of something that works?
