no donnybrook on there, i thought that would be pretty important.
they've don't have the best interests of their user.
Just look at youtube, it's become junk now that they remove everything good from it.
What foudation did they lay? They weren't the first and it didn't do anything spectacular, it was a fun fps on a console, that's it. It was a great party game. Other than that it was nothing special.
Perfect dark was better on all fronts, gameplay, challenges, story, graphics, Halo was more revolutionary. Your argument is a moot point.
You can just claim something then offer no proof.
Toni, the armor in halo is a varient of the armor in marathon, ...
is up to 4... but there's a total of over 15 metal gear games.
Marathon paved the way for today's FPS's, half life even copied many of the same puzzle and the health system from Marathon.
Marathon was the first FPS to have voice chat, dual wielding, multi-tied levels, a level editor, secondary weapon functions, puzzles and mission objectives, ambient ai and an assortment of other things.
Marathon Durandal was the second FPS ever on a console (apple pipin), the first being AVP on the atari jaguar. What are you like 16, maybe you should do some research before making baseless claims. Also perfect dark scored much better and halo was much more popular.
That this site has a lot more PS3 fans than Xbox fans.
All I see coming from sony are generic games, with the exception of gary's mod.. err Halo 3's forge... err lbp
what is being released this year, and has a set release date. Socom confrontation, R2, LBP, then killzone 2 early next year.
compared to Banjo kazooie, halo wars, fable 2, gears 2.
Sony doesn't have the best track record on their promises and this is an out and out LIE, ...
in L4D there's an AI director who controls when and where the enemies spawn, and in what amount. It uses deciding factors like amunition, health, and even how rapidly/chaotic your movements are, this is what makes the game truely original every single time.
In the 360 version.
they also had drinks, movies, lighters, clothing, keychains, jewlery, plushies, trading cards, action figues, comic books, manga, weapon replica's, and the list goes on.
If people will buy your merchandise then why not sell it, halo's obviously big enough.
I have a pack of halo trading cards, and a pack of tf2 trading cards.

or I can use my dual shock 2.
Microsoft is merchandizing halo like mad, just like lucas arts and star-wars.
They prefer doing it in their living room with a gamepad. It's always nice to have variety, and if people are willing to pay, what's stopping them?
I personally perfer the PC for any HL game/mod and I always will, but different strokes for different folks.
Don't see the problem with it on live...
Sure it's not the best, but it still works well. The true test of any game is making work on a variety of platforms.
I still play CS:CZ all the time for PC btw.
Counter-strike
Halo
Quake
Unreal tourney
Tribes
are all fail because you can't go prone?
The FPS's I grew up on, like quake/hl/goldeneye, and I just can't get used to going prone in a game, i think it slows the games down to much, and makes them less realistic(yes less realistic).
In a real battlefield you wouldn't just lie down on the ground, you keep moving, unless you were a sniper, or maybe a gunner. Going prone slows games down and takes away from real war simulation games.
probably the only thing that comes even close.

When the xpac comes out, but I really hope they introduce some decent looking armor for "rouges", the last tier of armor is sad... literally.
who's ruined more great MMO's then i can name.
