But fable, killzone 2 (beta) and lbp (beta).
Lbp isn't really "fun" imo, it's like map editor fun just with instant gratification, where you build something then get to experiment but in that sense it's not really a game, and more like a tool.
Fable is meh, it has it's up and downs, I think a lot of the stuff there should be tossed to make the world look better. Good story though, very fun if you're not following it.
killzone is your ave...
the one on ps3, pc and xbox?
The game revolves around alan who was/is a novelist (similar to that of stephan king). He became successful after writing a book based on dreams he was having during his marriage to his wife. Soon after he finished the book his wife goes missing, and he slowly becomes an insomniac. He heads to the town of brightfalls to try and fall asleep, hoping that he might have dreams which will help him find his wife but events from his original book start to occur in the town, starting to haunt him.
Some pre-renderd cutscenes the other is gameplay.
so far, bar none. Even heavy rain fails in comparison, specially since this is a open world game and heavy rain is just pre-rendered cutscenes and qte.
MGS4
GTA
Halo 3
Super mario galaxy
super smash brothers
LBP
GoW
fable 2
killzone 2
that's my list.
Ign is as pro sony as gamespot is pro microsoft.
what does that tell you about the difference in strength between hardware this generation.
Also ps3 dev kits for both games were relased at the same time, remember the ps3 had it's launch delayed. So it's not a year head start but a year lees in development time.
the dev kits for the ps3 were relased in the same time frame as the 360 as the ps3 was originally supposed to be relased the same year.
Once again this 3rd generation BS holds no water as an argument.
Dev kits for the ps3 were sent out at the same time as the original xbox 360 ones, Remeber the ps3 was delayed for a year, it was originally supposed to be launched right beside the 360. So it's not, the ps3 is one year ahead...
I feel the same way about metal gear solid 1,2,3,4
If kojima made it like the original metal gear it would've been awesome instead he made some movie about a senile old fart.
How's it feel?
You're saying that sony didn't fail, but in reality they're trying to push out an unfinished game so that they can try and hit the holiday launch window.
Sure the game is playable, and it might be great, but if something is marred by network problems no matter how great the concept is, people aren't going to get the chance to play and enjoy it if they can't log in, or on, or keep getting disconnected. So it is in that sense a failure.
I'm very much a pc gamer as well as a console gamer, and one of the most irritating things about PC games is day one patches. This should not be happening in the console enviroment.
It's a little more understanding if the game is missing some secondary features like LBP and fable will be, but certian games that are missing a large majority of them, or are just broken/buggy at launch is un acceptable.
Warhawk, motorstom come to mind.

even though you're in the beta for R2 and have yet to play any of gears.
Sorry, but I doubt R2 will touch gears of war this holiday.
World of warcraft wotlk will likely be the winner this holiday, not only is there currently an install base that's extremely high, expacs tend to bring back gamers who had left it, and introduce new ones. So that's where I'll be placing my bet.
only a fool would disagree, or a fanboy.

but, bethesda's track record on games that don't start with "Elder" and end in "scrolls" is far from flawless. Either way, hope the game turns out well, I'll be playing it on my PC and hope all the humor and story has gone unscathed from the previous iterations.
like boysacks.
From great (halo 3) to absolutely horrid (mgs4). This isn't that bad, people need to put it into perspective as to what the game is trying to accomplish. It's like an action movie, you play a game like gears for the ride not for the story.
