LBP did not sell as it was expected too. Blame advertising, delay's, whatever, it did not sell as much as it should have.

The promise of hype. They're completely correct in thier argument. SONY has not delivered this year, they've done leaps and bounds compared to what they did in 2007/06 but it's not the year of the ps3.

According to fanboys, the PS3 was supposed to have surpassed both the 360 and wii in sales, it was going to show off it's true horsepower and create games that never would've been possible on 360, and home was going to destroy live in every way. Well, I'm still waiting and when t...

Ign is as pro PS3 as gamespot is pro xbox. All it takes to realize this is that they do both movies and games, meaning that sony pays for advertising on both fronts, and they have to keep their advertisers happy.

IGN = FAIL

2007. How the hell is it copying if it was shown before LBP?

Last generation xbox games, multiplatform or not, looked better then the ps2 counter-parts from day 1. Developers don't actively hold back the quality of titles, otherwise all pc games would look the same as console counter-parts.

People need to grow up and stop thinking that the ps3 will suddenly start out preforming the 360 by leaps and bounds, it's just not going to happen.

it's not trying to be anything like LBP, it's an extremely simple visual basic package designed to get children into computer science. People comparing this to LBP are idiots.

I still haven't "completed" the game, I don't think I'll ever be able to complete legendary + all skulls. Not to mention the near infinte reply time added to it's online, via forge.

you don't care so much that you found both the time and effort to tell us you don't care. Usually when I don't care I just ignore the post and move onto the ones I do care about.

(hence why you don't see me in any lbp or R2 threads)

the draw distances on the 360 looks to be a bit further.

unplug your live, and change the the clock to 2025, then enjoy the 25 years worth of interest from owning shops.

Because to me it's not linear at all.

If I have to kill a group of baddies, I can dispose of them any way I want. Magic, sword combat, long range. I can also decide how i play a role in the quest, if I decide to kill the enemy myself, or if i do what the person instructed.

Not to mention the game itself is extremely open. i do the quests I want, kill the people I want, goto the places I want. You can't get a more open world.

There's no way to know what version they are playing, the game could've been stolen anytime during the production stage when a black disc (what ever they call the discs they use during beta/alpha/development/ or review/hands on discs) is available.

but it is likely that they are playing a retail or review disc to.

no.
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/...
(look at the left, no sony)

Edios was the publisher for the pc version, and also squaresoft published the ps version in japan. Only the playstation versions in US and Europe had sony as it's publisher.

As for it happening. I can dream can't I?

6470d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

I don't think they ever owned them.

The game was published on PC by edios, and published in japan by squaresoft.

A final fantasy 7 port, on all systems, PSN, XBLA, PSP, WiiWare, DS.

It will sell for $20 and feature new cutscenes and some update graphics for the title (hopefully high res for the consoles) and voice acting(maybe).

The problem isn't lazy developers it's sony's lack of contribution and support to developers..

Drakes is not the norm, because:
1. they had a big budget
2. they're sony first party
3. they recieved a bunch of support.

While support is growing, you have to face the facts, it's not lazy developers, they only have a limited amount of funds and time to get a game out, it's sony's fault for not providing the support and software.

And while some people say the game and engine look dated, I have to disagree. I saw their tech demo thingy and the game looks great, specially with dozens of zombies running around.

Stop comparing apples and oranges.

1. Alan wake is open world, much like GTA.

2. the only thing's we've seen from alan wake is a pre-rendered trailer, conversly the only things we've seen from heavy rain is a pre-rendered QTE trailer.

3. Neither game is done or almost done.

4. Both games could be made on the opposing systems.
