Yeah, no, Far Cry tends to put in a jiab at a demographic or two. Far Cry 3 enjoyed mocking the trust-fund-baby-turned-college -student, brahs gone wild crowd.

Anyone figure out how to turn the blue line of arrows off when driving to a marked destination?

Was super tempted to order the ninety dollar version of Far Cry 5 so I could had have got this free, and early. But, it's probably only going to be thirty bucks or so as a stand-alone retail puchase.

Hahaha, darthv72. Fair play. Fair play.

@GUTZnPAPERCUTZ

Yeah, I considered the first-person-shooter perspective into my deliberation. It's partly, that but mainly just less detailed textures.

My trade is cinematography/photography so I'm weird about spending a lot of time in photo mode in games. I've spent hours assessing the textures on Horizon Zero Dawn and guarantee you HZD has significantly better textures than Far Cry 5...

Thanks, bbradley. I don't think some of the gamers downvoting me understand that the C7 is arguably the top television under three thousand dollars. 4K Mode turned on for Rise of the Tomb Riader makes a world of difference on the Pro with the C7. I can't play it without it switched on. And I'm usually more of a frame-rate guy over resolution.

There was a story that Pro gamers we're supposed to get "Render Mode" but it's missing for some of, or ...

Yes! I've been wanting to try Mad Max for a couple of years now. Very content with that choice.

Obviously not at the same.

Am running on a PlayStation 4 Pro and a 55" LG OLED C7, so I assure you, the textures I'm seeing on Far Cry 5 do not look as good as Horizon Zero Dawn, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or Rise of the Tomb Raider.

While the in-game objects themselves are beautifully sculpted with high polygon counts, the textures are rough—at least rougher than games like I mentioned above. The textures of the fingers holding a gun when your character runs into a wall, for example, are unde...

This seems more like it. Am around ten hours in and I'm quite happy with the quality. I lived the first twenty years of my life in a county very similar to Hope County—and, quite frankly: it's kind of eerie.

Graphics could be better. In fairness I have been playing a lot of Rise of the Tomb Raider lately, so maybe I have unrealistic expectations.

I see no reason this game should get under an eight/ten score. Any reviewer that does is simply trolli...

Agreed. Glad Darkocelot got the ball rolling on this and that Jamiereleases is acting as mediator. Just aggravating it had to come to this. Whomever gave the thumbs-up when the mobile ad integration example was shown needs to be stripped of rank and transferred to Antarctica.

Good news is I think this will end up making N4G a better site. Both because we all came together for a common goal and N4G management will think twice before treating us like starving hounds anxious ...

Not with this much news and organized information.

Facebook has never been on my phone and I get redirected there often through N4G ads.

Yeah, a thousand thanks to Darkocelot, for true.

Seems the video ads have been taken for now, but if you tap more towards the bottom left part of the X it usually closes every time. A purposely designed flaw to increase ad link openings.

This is great—and severely appreciated. Fact is, this issue should never had made it past the N4G team meeting on rather or not to implement these ads.

I'm taking a chance being banned, but I want to help us all to get our site back. I have an idea.

First and foremost: N4G often, and moreso than not is an awesome site. Few other gaming sites can hold my attention like this wild west of leisure game software information emporium.

The idea:

Most of the traffic that comes through N4G is from regulars. The revenue this site makes is measured by how much revenue it makes per day. If we ...

Ever since emulators and classic consoles have been coming around the prices on classic consoles have dropped—unless you have some in pristine condition.

I feel for you, Zabatsu. Maybe next time hope. You and Canada seem to get shafted more than we do. Though, there have been a few sales that the States got left out of, too.
