Folks keep bringin' up some really dumb shyt in regards to the topic at hand. Comments pretty much saying that AO content shouldn't be allowed on consoles is pathetic n' useless because it'd be geared towards teens trying to get off on games. That's the dumbest, poorly thought out explanation for not allowing AO games onto consoles I've ever heard.
Why is it that everyone is thinking that AO rated games coming to consoles means every game with an AO rating will be 90 percent ...
I agree, I've always loved M$'s ad campaigns. Usually, they actually make sense n' are fun to watch. More so with their console ad's.
Yes, 'twas.
Well said, however, I don't think we'll ever see Nintendo crack any doors open in this department. At least not in the states.
I'm sorry. My math is a bit weak. Can you explain this equation you have insinuated:
AO = Pornography
Last I checked AO equated to Adult Oriented. Last I checked pornography was the equivalent of XXX. Media can be AO rated with not one grain of nudity.
I'm not blaming any retailers because the influence they have amounts to a little under nothing.
Someone mentioned company image or perception earlier n' that's exactly the problem. Sony n' Nintendo (I've never read where M$ stated they wouldn't allow AO games, but I know they wont) don't want to be perceived in any sorta bad light whatsoever. Well, until console manufacturers allow AO games to be published on their respective consoles the gaming industry will never mature. ...
I agree. But that's just 1 enemy out of possibly dozens. The game n' gameplay however look amazing.
I hate the wrench, between the awesome projectile weapons and plasmids, I have no time for such a boring, low damage weapon. My strategy is to have fun, I simply can't do that with a wrench, but that's just my opinion.
Seriously tho, ammo is RELATIVELY plentiful, and you have your plasmids to work with. I haven't beat the game yet (currently playing through on normal, working around school), but I find armor piercing rounds for any of the guns very effective, along with the...
The first time I tried to load the video my firefox froze. After I got it up n' running again, it worked tho. N' I've never had this problem before when accessing kings through firefox. Seems to be an isolated issue.
N' I haven't read not 1, and I don't intend to in the future either. I read the IM's between the two in the article. The 227 comments this blog between two industry men has generated makes me scratch my head. He said fk Halo..... I'm an avid Halo fan n' wont get into that, it'd be far too time consuming. But I don't get it, we (fans of the series) get it from all 360 degree's day in n' day out. What's so different about this situation? Because the person who made the statement works or...
I'm still waiting for them (analyst) to tell me something I don't know. Whether or not Halo 3 rakes in nearly a quarter billion (do any of you actually realize how large a number that is....my goodness..) is anyone's guess. I do know that it'll beat out Spiderman 3's 151 million dollar opening weekend. What I find amusing however, is that the industry insist on comparing Halo 3's day 1 release sales with Spiderman 3's opening WEEKEND. Nonetheless, Halo 3 will top it, easily.

I want that museum display.
If you were a developer and/or publisher (no matter how big or small), wouldn't you want your product protected as well? Would you like to see your product leaked before it's release date and uploaded onto any of the numerous torrent sites and then spread throughout the gaming community let's say...a week prior to it's release?
As I said, (I feel) all retailers should take precautions with ALL new releases.
A launch event here in the MIA. I've gotta be there :)
I completely feel 'em on this. Bungie n' M$ aren't one's to be messed around. They've taken legal action before in the case of it's Halo franchise n' wouldn't shy from doing so again. That's why Gamestop is threatening to come down so hard on it's employee's, as would I.
I think these precautions should be taken with all new releases however.
but in the meantime, try n' refrain from making useless comments on articles relating to game(s) you obviously don't care for. 'Specially when those comments are completely off-topic n' not so well thought out.
I'd noticed I was 1 bubble less, placed on someone's ignore list, and disagreed with. While I have no problem with any of the above, I do when it is without merit. I said nothing to you, but responded to another's comment. If you disagree, fine. But slang insults that your mother n' my metal wouldn't approve of while hundreds of miles away when unprovoked...that's foolish, not to mention cowardly. Come here n' talk shyt, but what would you do if I were passerby? I have no understanding ...
I think the dev's could have done a bit more. This is the 3rd NFS installment on the current gen consoles and I'm quite underwhelmed, this coming from a fan of the franchise. The damage modeling is a step forward, but it's a very small one. During the demo he smashed into the side of a mountain and the result was the hood and fenders flying off. Trust me, I know it's a game, but I expect a bit more when I run into rock doing 100mph.
And smoke? It's a nice effect n' all but...
The 10 mil. M$ is dropping on these ad's aren't a necessity. I don't think they're going to change anyone's mind or anything. You've heard of Halo even if you've resided on Mars the last decade n' hate it with every bone in your body.
The box he's holding doesn't prove much to me (you can find that in every retailer), but that large plasma behind him sure looks convincing enough...
