for a racing game to purchase ever since NFS: Most Wanted. Looks like this may be it.

Gonna d/l this n' give it a spin once I get outta class tonight. There's too many mixed impressions of the demo, just gotta give it a shot for yourself.

I haven't played Lair n' probably never will, so I cannot pass judgment on any aspect of the game. But when I read this quote: "For my part, I don't give a good Got*damn if someone has trained themselves to eat shy*t and like it. The game is not challenging, it's difficult to play, and it's taken many years but I'm ready to begin making this distinction.", I felt 'em. I've played dozens of games where I've had to do just that...train myself to eat the b.s. aspects of the game n' a...

Dumb

I'm sick of WWII, if dev's are so fascinated with WW's n' feel the need to fk wit' it over n' over then they should at least do something different. Create a fictional WWIII or something sometime in the near future, I'd pick that up.

COD4 makes me love sidearms, they're not even worth carrying when playing WWII shooters imo. Personally, I don't want to loose my Dessert Eagle. I hope this isn't true and nothings been cemented yet but it seems p...

Speaking of EA n' customer service, they need to do something about the FN3 servers constantly being down. Either that or hurry up n' release a FN4 use different servers to dedicate to it.

What else is new? They had to conduct a survey to determine this?

that make products or items very valuable later on. Of course GTA4 will be no more valuable 5 years after it's release as GTA3 is today. But had this problem not been noticed and corrected and this box art gone to print, eventually R* would have spotted and corrected it. The older versions with Niko's head covering the rear view mirror would have instantly became highly sought after.

Anyway, can't wait for Q1 '08.

After playing the NFS demo I'm quite sure the game really is just rental worthy.

But I think a game which receives an overall rating of 8.6 merits more than a rental. What I'm sayin' is, if they're going to class it as such, they should have gave it a rating as such.

OKay, you've got a $49.99 game and then you've got the "Collectors" version of the same game, but with a "making of" DVD attached, right? The collectors goes for about $10.00 more at $59.99, (I know NOWADAYS these editions come with much more swag, but it's just recently got that way) n' I've never heard any outcry over that. Now EA wishes to make a "History of the Need for Speed series in HD" available for $3.00 and it's such a sin.?

So, I hav...

I really hope this was just OXM taking a guess at how serious the game will become and not something R* confirmed to them. Rampages are as synonymous with the GTA series as it's humor is.

I know the game will be awesome, I'll have it the day it's released, and it's looking like it will really revolutionize the sandbox genre. But I just don't see (or understand why they would) 'em dropping GTA's Rampages...

I'm sure it will. Sega already has a few classics on XBL. I'd love to give Shenmue another go.

“Because if you play on easy, you’re not even playing the game.” And that's the reason I cannot play any game on an easy difficulty setting. I poke fun at my girl when she plays on easy, because she's a regular gamer n' has played more PS2 titles than even I have. She knows however that I'm just a teasin'.

I remember when I first picked up Halo, me having all the experience that I had thinking nothing of putting the game on Legendary and getting my a55 demolished time afte...

This is probably the most unprofessional thing I've seen in gaming, where professionalism is a must. For a magazine company to allow a reviewer to discredit and make a mockery of it is inconceivable, so I have to assume the magazine as a whole was all for this, which makes it all the more astounding. Platform specific or not.

There never has, and never will be a game developed which truly deserves an 11/10. And there are a very limited amount of games created which actually...

I'm with zophrenic on this one. The earlier trailers had me very excited with it's gameplay reminiscent of the "Heat" classic. I'd always thought the graphics weren't up to par with this generation of technology but tried to overlook it. Now I don't think it's possible to ignore anymore as the AI isn't looking all that great and the game is starting to simply appear to have less of a fun factor. I'm actually beginning to think that a demo may simply justify my renting this game ...

Many gaming sites and forums are suggesting that because TakeTwo didn't nail down a specific date (ie 4/6/2008), that the release may slip out of the Q2 2008 window TakeTwo specified earlier. Which is completely asinine imo. When a developer who has stayed faithful to it's investors and always released top-notch products for several years says their game is going to be delayed, those investors (me being one of them), should stay faithful to them in return. There's good reason this game was...

Half decent list, I agree with 1 n' 3. "Competitive options" this n' that. If I'd make a list I'd think nothing of that, just maps I don't mind playing over n' over n' over again, and are fun everytime. I've been waiting for a re-appearance of Hang 'Em High for 3 years now... I don't even want a remake.

Personally, I'd prefer to earn my upgrades. I look at what they're doing the same way I do cheating on any game I've purchased. I'm not going to drop $60.00 on a game and then ruin my sense of accomplishment by cheating or "buying" my way through the game, just doesn't make any sense imo. But whatever floats your boat I guess..

As for EA, I'd probably be doing the same thing if I were in their shoes. Business is about money foremost imo. If there's a market for f...

Very excited about this sequel. The first was probably my favorite 360 launch title.

Beats any grenade throw or silly "super/slide jumps" I've seen to date.

I couldn't have stated it any better than Bruce even if I were paid to do so. One thing I'd like to point out in his post however that I have been saying for some time now (mostly since the Manhunt 2 ban):

"In some way it is a pity because an open platform has the huge advantage of getting rid of the censorship we now suffer from the platform holders. This censorship limits what kinds of games are produced and so holds back the whole industry."

That, i...
