And now... Microsoft have to continue paying bills every month.
If someone wants to launch a PS5 title that was not in the pre PS5 official list of development, the game has to use a PS5 Pro compatible SDK. That's simple... but it is also mandatory to use certain version of the PlayStation DSK if you want to publish a game. Older versions of PlayStation SDKs have no support, so developers have to update their systems if the want to publish. BTW, titles are published with a more than one year old Sony SDK versions, so this will not take full effect for...
Driving, flying... those things make me feel like VR is the best thing gaming has ever got.
Incredible for a console this size, from a Japanese company that seems to forget Japan sized homes.
True
30th anniversary edition is the only excuse to buy it at such a high price. PS5 Pro is no competition of a 2025 PC... look at those AMD Ryzen 9800X3D systems at around 1.000$ prices and think about what you get with 800$ for a PS5 Pro. The lower price factor for consoles against PC is not valid today.
Sony should have finished the standard PS5 and focus on PS5 Pro as a with or without optic disk drive system. Sell all PS5 stock and only sell PS5 Pro, at a lower price, of course... maybe at an Xbox Series X price (549$). Of course, PS5 stock should have gone at a Xbox Series S price of 349$/399$ (with disk drive).
The troll council has begun.
AMD UDNA is an early 2026 launch. If PS6 comes in 2027, it will have UDNA 2.5 like hardware... well... It'd be some real generations more than PS5 Pro. But Sony can go the cheap way and release an UDNA 1.5 hardware... that could be also better than anything Xbox can release in 2026. It'll be good to be alive in 2027.
:D
$$$
Steam Deck could sell more than Xbox... if it comes in 2026 with AMD UDNA and a reasonable price.
It is great for emulation... in 2025.
Kutaragi is god and Cerny his prophet.
Well, like everything else at Microsoft, it looks like the Xbox shutdown is behind schedule. But we will surely see it before the end of the decade.
The problem is that, if they leave franchises without new titles or promotion, they die or are never profitable again. It happened to Pysgnosis, Ubisoft, SEGA, EA and many more... and it is happening to many of the franchises under the Microsoft umbrella.
So... it is a Nintendo Switch Pro?
- Xbox Tech guy: Hi, Phil, we can make two Xbox Series, one with a more available chip and no disk drive, so it can be hundred of dollars cheaper than the big one, that will only have top of the wafer line chips and faster RAM. This way, every game will run without any change, only resolution and Ray Tracing… really, nothing +90% of people will notice when playing, at least, for next 4 or 5 years. BTW, developers will not have to make any extra work to fit the game on any Xbox and we will sel...
Xbox staff?
Xbox Series S is everywhere... BTW.
So... next Mass Effect will be another The Veilguard... Personally, I don't like the idea. But maybe it has its public. Good luck.
