Microsoft should kill Xbox right now and share with Nintendo, Sony, Steam, etc. their assets as partners, in the likes of SEGA. The people at the helm of Xbox prove every day that they can be worse. This, despite the fact that they have already demonstrated an extremely low level of capability and empathy.
Summer time... (in the North hemisphere). Problems of the developed world.
Don't agree... best years were 2004 to 2008 with Halo 2, big E3 shows and announcements, exclusive titles, risky bets, support for the developers community, a friendly platform, innovation, catalogue and a lot to do with Xbox, as well as esports, indies, big titles, big partners... those were the years. After 2008 it was a decline and following others... nothing really to be proud of as a supporter of the Xbox ecosystem.
Nothing new, nothing to see, look away.
Don't worry, Microsoft are paying AMD for making Ryzen AI Z2 slower with Linux.
PSVR2 was doomed before arriving because it needs wires. Sony only needs a good wireless system for PlayStation 5/6 and it will get more attention. Playing PC VR games with Meta Quest with Meta Link works flawlessly. It is incredible how Sony did not see what others were doing with cheaper and more capable systems before going with PSVR2 as it is.
It works flawlessly with a PC through WiFi 6/7 and it gives you freedom, playing PC VR games without wires. You can have full PC graphics and fps with "dumb" light VR set comfort. But... Meta Quest 3S (and any other compatible model) Xbox Game Pass Solution only works as a virtual screen with added lag and lower resolution. It is a bad resolved solution for something that works better without Xbox engraved on the packaging. The Xbox game pad is nice, BTW... but it does not add anyth...
Have they tested Xbox app before launching this? It is unplayable on Meta Quest and this seems to be only a marketing movement to say "This is an Xbox". Lag is mortal with the Xbox official app on Meta Quest. It is far better and cheaper to use Steam VR, Meta Link or any other solution, but not Xbox app. Some will be disappointed after buying this for playing Xbox Game Pass streamed games... but... hey! This is a good XR set for connecting to a PC and playing Half-Life: Alyx and tho...
Well... if someone comes to your company asking for a job after being in the Xbox division for the past 15 years... Would you hire him/her? It can be seen as a not a very good trajectory.
Bye Phil, bye Bonnie, bye Sarah.
Well it was one of the stars on Xbox Showcase some weeks ago... it has had more marketing than hundreds of games this year.
Waiting for Game Pass in 3, 2, 1...
You know next Xbox Series S will be a portable Xbox. You know, don't you?
PC GP 12$/month with the first month for free (7 months for $70 in practice). But you need to create a new account and pass content if you want to maintain achievements and the same friends automatically.
It was crazy to to that and it was known since both consoles were announced... "A cheaper version of the hardware to sell more units"... Yes... but in the real world it made both consoles more expensive from beginning to final seller, as well as less attractive for users, developers and stock. Who's responsible for this? How did it pass the filters? It is incredible how a company as big as Microsoft can do that. But, well... Microsoft has money as a punishment.
Oblivion Remake 49.99 $ (Steam with no discounts)
Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 19.98$ (G2A)
Doom: The Dark Ages 22.49 $ (G2A)
Metaphor: ReFantazio 26.33 $ (G2A)
It will still take some months to get those games for the price of 4 months of Game Pass Ultimate. I hope I can finish Metaphor before it is deleted from Game Pass. The others will be available while I finish other pending games that will be out of GP soon. Really... Game Pass stresses me ...
This is a meta game as no other.
I played Star Wars 1313 and StarCraft: Ghost on E3 floor and at close doors. So, no, those were not vapourware. They were real titles, finished or near to be.
Bad decisions materialized since 2008. That's it. Everything was right with a first gen to enter the market and Xbox 360 to mark distances in many aspects that made it a different breed. Many wanted an Xbox 360 or its exclusives, online options, access price, variety of experiences and... yes, the brand. Now, I don't see any wanting Xbox as a brand, only paid supporters and the ones that can't afford anything else.
Microsoft is now doing the same as others. Nothing will ...
"There will not be affected brands or employees after Activision Blizzard King buyout. It is part of the agreement."
