First Xbox was not only more powerful, but different (Hard Drive, hardware shaders, unified memory, LAN, etc.). The problem was the software, the price and the marketing team full of noobs and overrated people in the industry that thought the Microsoft name was enough to go in demanding of everyone without the slightest bit of humility. Xbox 360, the first 3 years, fixed many things... but 'The past always comes back and hits you harder' (Splinter)
I'd love to have all my existing Xbox library available to install on my PlayStation, Windows, Switch 2... without paying again for it.
Pfff... it is an RPG, you play it like you play an RPG... We have been doing it for more than 50 years now.
With one game included (one Mario Game...). Well, it is a good gift price.
This game is like a dream come true on PC... any PC.
Haters will hate. This game is far better than anything Bethesda, Bioware and company have done in the past 10 years.
And more than 200 new positions open in Sony (PlayStation)... with hundreds more in internal studios... It seems like a change of people, not a fire and close situation: https://outscal.io/company/...
And wait for the taxes effect... NFL 99$ for the base game in US (49$ in Canada) Wait and see.
Developer diaries for this game are TOP! It is incredible how much work for one person has been into this and how he explains ideas, problems and solutions.
And that's good.
No way... I prefer to expend time reading that history and story anywhere than playing Veilguard. It's just the opposite of KKD2 or The Witcher III, where I can't stop playing no matter what, because I enjoy every moment, every story, every detail and its world, as well as the RPG mechanics that it is. Because, me, I want Dragon Age to be a Bioware RPG and not an action game with stuff in it. To play stuff like that, I'd rather have others in charge of the game, not Bioware.
First Kindgom Come was booooooring... KCD2 is great in every aspect and works flawlessly on a 2015 PC.
When you compare Indiana Jones and the Great Circle with its budget with KCDII... well... poor Indy and its invisible walls.
GotY 2025. Next? Microsoft, stay away from Warhorse Studios, please.
Tell Bioware and Bethesda about game engines change... ;)
There are only two Dragon Age games... the others are "based on the world of..."
Well... an RTX 5080 is around 1600 US dollars right now... and it seems that it will stay above $1200 for a year... BTW, you have to add the cost of RAM, processor, SSD, etc. What kind of click bait for noobs is this? Ok, Ok... it is an NVIDIA paid ad. Understand...
An AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 395 based console could make the difference until next generation of PlayStation arrives in 2027. This would be great for PC gaming, as developers could have another intermediate fixed hardware like PS5 Pro, so they could test some next gen technologies before they are mainstream.
Paper launch.
4:1 (Xbox users care about money) They have now a $299 console with no disc drive option, a $349 console with no disc drive option, a $449 console with no disc drive option, a $499 console with disc drive, a $549 console with disc drive... against two models of PlayStation... Xbox is a mess.
