@FAGOL
Exactly dude, im glad somebody has common sense.
Sony brought down PSN(fully switched off) as soon as they were aware of the intrusion. There's over 60 million PSN accounts.
Not all 60 million are active however they are all stored by sony. This would mean these hackers(who probably only managed to find a loophole rather than intended to steal details)would have to go through all 60million accounts and not only find which ar...
Just because the hackers found a way to access the details doesn't mean they have them.. or everyones at least.
This is just a warning, with contact details provided should for some reason somebody(hacker) has your details specifically and finds a way to use them..
Because they got hacked?..
Dude i've been saying this from the start.. :)
They don't last long? more like microsoft don't give two craps unless it's an employee that gets hacked..
No offence but it's been hacked multiple times.. lol not on the same scale but it's been hacked and peoples accounts get hacked alot on XBL also
I don't know if a laughed because it's actually witty or the because i first seen that comment by a 12 year old 360 fanboy on youtube.. :P
I agree that the comparison is a bit dumb..
However i personally think that it sort of is the inbetween console :/
i mean more so when it's only "a bit more powerful" than current top of the range consoles. Devs are already screaming for more powerful consoles.
My point is if this releases 2012 by the time it starts hitting it's stride as the most powerful console out there.. sony and microsoft will be round to announ...
Lol fact is it could be back up, however people would still be at risk.. do people really wanna their accounts or even card details accessed? no.
They aren't just fixing the issue they are rebuilding the network aswell for the consumers benefit, it makes sense for them to do a rebuild and the hacks gave them the perfect chance.
I'll wait another 2 weeks if i have to to ensure my account isn't at risk or my details
You can't get an answer when there's nothing left to say, they've told us what happend what they are doing and that it's an on going process..
Is it really that hard to accept that?..
Guys if there's nothing new to say then what do you expect?..
The only reason they keep updating with what's pretty much the same thing is because they keep getting asked the same things "whens it gonna be back" "please sony please".
They've clearly said what has caused them to do this and also stated that's it's an on-going process and that they'll update you when they have more info.
What...
@Commander_TK Wow dude, although it's not in the dictionary it's a word often used by alot of people, big deal.
Is PSN being down causing you o much boredom you feel the need to comment on petty things? lol.
P.S "most fun" wouldn't have worked in that sentence either. "one of the most fun racers i've played for years" <doesn't make sense.
If i cared about my wording, punctuation and grammar in...
I've been having a blast playing through the motorstorm single player, not because the story is good but because gameplay wise it's one of the funnest racers i've played for years..
Hadn't touched the SP until PSN went down
Ok so you'd rather they put it back up knowing that certain people have access to loopholes and data information and the high risk of millions of users having credit card details stolen..
Yeah that makes sense..
I'm actually selling some common sense would you like to buy some? :)
Agreed this is great news if its true! I reckon they thought "crap one of our admins got hacked we should fix this.."
Then thought "while we're here we might as well just put the work in and renew the system and beef up the security"
I think this because they originally thought it would take 1-2 days :P
anyways either way it's good news imo. I'll survive :D
Looks like extremely cheap plastic tbh lol
I'm gonna call fake until it's confirmed though
Serious guys?..
Some people lack common sense.
Obviously your information is safe right now, PSN has been turned off..nobody can access it now.
However they obviously have to investigate everything so they can fix any loopholes before rebuilding the network before it goes back online. It wouldn't make sense if they fixed the access to the admins details without checking if the consumers are ok..
They'll be in...
Well obviously it's safe at this moment because they turned PSN off to stop access.
However im pretty sure when they say they are investigating the matter it means that they'll check through the loopholes used by hackers to see if it gets them into consumer information and if it does fix it in the rebuild.
Oh and guys they're bound to repeat what the blog said, that's the information they gave, if they have no new info then they can't ...
Are you serious..
They can't give us any new information if there isn't any, what do you expect?..
They've told us what's happened(best they can)they been updating when they don't fix it within the 1-2 days timescale..
Fact is the title says they responded and they did. Doesn't anywhere say it's new information
How have sony fucked up seriously?..
1)Your details are encrypted(the point of a hack is to bypass such things).
2) the option to store your info is exactly that, optional.
3) you're at risk on any transaction site or service while using your credit or debit card.
4)Hackers have brought down government networks and websites(far bigger corporation than sony, no?)
5)stop over reacting.
