Sounds like this lawyer is a bit 'butthurt' because he didn't manage to even help geo out lol.

Geohot originally said he would settle only if they replaced OtherOS, apologised for removing it on the blog and provide a path to legit homebrew :L

Guess his lawyer couldn't help with that

Lol props to sony for actually having the balls to face all these hackers head on and not sit down once it got serious..

Now look, they effed over geo hot(also turned hackers against him), caused fear for alot of hackers now that they are able to impose such rules.. and now anon are resorting to public protests and begging for randoms to join lol..

Yet there's always more people typing such comment as yours than there is actual sony fanboys making childish comments.

Kind of ironic eh?

Well obviously they're gonna say that on a nintendo site when nintendo are being insulted -_-

Congrats detective :P

@kaveti

settlements are suggested by either the lawyers or judge to which both parties must then agree on.

Both of them did, judging by it sony got what they wanted he can barely even mention a SONY product without getting hit with a 10k fine lol..

Not only that, but after this.. it's clearly still considered legal to hack modify or share ps3 code, meaning alot of other hackers will be very cautious about following geo now

Would be awesome if Santa Monica made it xD

That would be awesome, could be mice vs controllers vs move xD

@newmonday

Well sort of, they achieved the hack with geo's originals findings(how to access the HV etc) :)

Console hacks that don't allow PSN access.

For me PSN>snes emulator

Because despite what many people say, sony are a great company.

Yeah of course they're out for the money, every business. However they do care about consumers and are extremely supportive to developers etc.

It doesn't suprise me that sony would agree to a settlement, because hey a homebrew tool would be great from sony. They know this, and if there's one thing this whole hackfest has brought on is that there are many people who would love home...

Fact is this should have never happened.

If he didn't try to become a glory hunter by releasing his hack in the first place otherOS would still be there not only that.

It's pretty known that sony are very open and supportive to developers as well as outside suggestions and such.

He should have wen't to them in the first place saying "hey i've found a major flaw in your security, how about you guys work with myself a...

@Perkel Well as soon as they step into the store they are on privately owned soil. Then if they refuse to leave it can be called 'loitering' which they can be done for.

Im not saying the police can arrest them and they'll get a jail sentence but they could easily be taken to a jail for a couple of hours, or escorted by the police.

Not only that but if they heavily disrupt the store then it can add to what they've already done, if the poli...

That's why it's a sit in.. you go there and refuse to leave to the store

5406d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Sony fanboys and just people who enjoy sony products should start a group to also go and protest against anonymous at the stores lol..

Or just arrange to be at the stores for when they turn up and drop-kick them.. twice

5406d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Im not for what anonymous are doing..

However besides DDoS'ing people they also host many protests and events all over, public protests. They go to them wearing those masks, so it's not like this is a 'new' thing for them to do.

So it doesn't really go against being "anonymous". No tonly is it just the group name, but with the masks(although it wouldn't be hard for them to be removed if arrested) it still kind of goes wit...

Multiplayer based on mw2/black ops options..

So either made for complete noobs and including things like commando, one man army danger close noobtubes and overpowered killstreaks

Or very balanced yet completely ruined because all it does is lag every single game which results in balanced weapons becoming unbalanced and not hitting targets etc.

Hey maybe if we're lucky it'll be a mix between both -_-

Fact is th...

@tudors

Haha i do yes, for the most part anyway.

I meant in this instance(maybe should have been clearer) that his belief doesn't = fact. Being that his opinions are not factually correct.

No they aren't @rbrtchng website hosting is done externally by other companies.

They only "show up"(which is abit of a childish way to put it) the 1st party ps3 exclusives when doing a PC vs PS3 comparison..

However that is completely obvious, as is the fact that the consoles versions of these games don't "show up" the 1sp party exclusives, because the 1st party developers have far more experience in the console and know how to utilise things way better.

Belief doesn't = fact

THEY didn't take the ip's..the LAW allowed them access to them however the ip's were handed to the lawyers.

They were granted the info so they could cross check which were used actively on PSN and then check which were running CFW so they could issue bans.

This was stated in many articles/news updates when it happend, yet some people like to bypass the important parts
