@DaTruth yeah man. Even Watchdog a show which is supposed to state nothing but facts to ensure we as customers know the truth about situations were using rumours and blatantly false information on the issue while covering it.
I even emailed that the show should be tested with it's own methods because they clearly used false infomation and provided them with sources etc.
Not that it'll make a difference or make them change their mind but yeah, it...
@Capdastro where did i say "just like RROD"..
Maybe you should re-read my comment instead of just the bits you wanted to see..
I was saying those things about the ps3.. i was saying 360 fanboys can no longer say those things(that they used to) so now they needed something new to say..
Nice try wise guy
If they give anything free it'll be like a ps store game.. a smart choice would be a free copy of infamous since infamous2 will start recieving attention soon :D ..
I however don't personally want anything but i understand some people do, so if they did that's my 2 cents on what they should do.
The only people that wont forget about it is the 360 fanboys.
They'll use this for years, even though as soon as PSN goes back up with it's new even more secure network.
But hey they need it.. after all they can no longer use the "ps3 has no games".. "xbox 360 is outselling ps3" to name a few anymore. ;)
Let them bask
@GamingDroid Exactly.. meaning it wasn't down to sonys poor security but rather a hacker hacks to get past these kind of things, they'll do it if they want to despite the security.
How do you think even government websites and network have been hacked numerous times
They've truely had it the worst from the shitty media here in the UK..
Acting like every single person lost their details and were having huge debts created in their names.
Can not stand the media over here
Sites need to stop writing as if the details were taken..
sony have clearly stated that details MAY have been stolen
p.s geohot sucks who cares
You do know the whole point of a hack is to crack encryptions and access what you're not supposed to?.. lol..
The hack is nothing like the RROD lol..
At one point 360's had more than a 50% failure rate(im not gonna try and state the specific number incase i get it wrong).
The PSN hack.. 1 ps3 user has claimed of his card being used since the hack.. huge difference
It wasn't released dude.. theres a CHANCE it was accessed, big difference tbh
PSN back up with a rebuilt network and then bam E3 comes and sonys back in the game :D
The media here in the UK paper and magazine was is a complete joke, they over react everything and are now(certain papers) even being sued for things like phone hacking.. oh the irony lol
They should change their name to Obvious
@infamous they said details MAY have been obtained but the media enjoyed missing out words like MAY which kind of caused an over reaction train wreck lol
cough IGN cough
I don't wanna sound like an asshole here, but the guy only announced it after sony announced card details may have been obtained..
If i was a hacker and gathered card details i doubt i would wait until sony found out and announced details may have been compromised before going haywire on the card.. :/
Just a thought i mean i could have gave my friend my CC details and told him to go wild and then say it was a hacker..
Anyways im not...
@Reburn i agree they need to make this right and they are by rebuilding the network, people act like its all sonys fault and they didn't close the PSN down for the sake of the consumers i mean if they left PSn on until they new what the intrusion was then people might have actually lost details.
Exactly dude, just like anything major in the media though it gets over exagerated.
Not only is 77 million a dumb figure to suggest but it's not even likely that even 10 accounts have had details stolen
Big deal, lets not lie by xmas this year or by the time uncharted 3 omes out stocks will most likely be back to normal.
Despite what you say sony provide a free service, yes it has been extremely sad that this has happend, but they're handling it well in terms of rebuilding the whole network.
The only people to blame for how out of hand it's become are the media for making articles like "your details have(note HAVE) been compromised" cou...
@EddyD People like you boggle my mind seriously.
How is sony being hacked mean they have "piss poor security" ? The whole point of a hack is to bypass security and access what you're not supposed to.
I'm really getting fed up with articles like this acting like everyones details WERE accessed when only aroun 3 people have mentioned cards being used.. although those 3 only mentioned it after the announcement because of course hackers who...
These updates and onfo are great however i don't hate or blame them for not being able to provide more the first week..
Not only was it 1) chaotic for sony
but 2) They didn't know the full extent at that point
