It should be Final Fantasy 9 vs. Wind Waker.
Final Fantasy 9 is better than Final Fantasy 7 and will age better in time anyway. 7's art design is too temporal. Same goes for Wind Waker vs. Ocarina of Time. Wind Waker's art choice made it less temporal and enabled it to be experienced in 2022 as easily as when it first came out.
Good job, Blizzard. I actually like it when games don't cater to 12 year olds. Treating female characters with dignity makes the game more fun and universal.
Look at Last Of Us, for example: people play as badass women all the time and not once did Naughty Dog call attention to gender.
The same goes for Rainbow Six: Siege - Ash, IQ, and Frost are awesome women everyone loves to play as and respects playing against.
With that said -- I do...
(Pictures and video are found in both mediums.)
Why not both?
Final Scores -- Sony: 73, Square Enix: 84. The game ends at 31:18, but at 29:30 it was 62-68.
"Obliteration" is just click bait; it was a friendly and competitive game.
Rainbow Six: Siege is now $40 both on the PlayStation Store and at Best Buy brand new. It's a great game and all of the server/matchmaking issues have been fixed.
I'd highly recommend it to anyone on the fence.
I like 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,and 12.
I don't like 1, 2, 11, 13, or 14.
Most have been good.
Just because it's multiplayer-only doesn't mean the game is incomplete. As long as the artists intended for it from the start, then they executed on it properly.
See: Team Fortress 2 by Valve vs. Portal 2 by Valve (both are great games.)
I haven't tried the PC version, but on PS4 the game is a broken mess.
- It constantly freezes.
- You can get stuck in place from the collision detection.
- The matchmaking dramatically slows and freezes once you add a fourth player.
So it's a team-based, multiplayer-only game whose multiplayer doesn't work once you get a team.
That's a pretty big deal; it can run an non-native operating system, meaning you can also run apps not on the PlayStation store, including emulators for Gameboy (as shown), PS1, PS2, et. al.
Thank you.
How do I delete my news submission? If anyone can read this and knows how to -- please let me know. Thank you.
. . .
Step 1. Create website
Step 2. Write article.
Step 3. Post article to N4G.
Step 4. Click "disagree" on people who criticize your article.
Wow, SOOOO professional, Skycaptin5!
Part of professionalism is being ethical. You should probably take a journalism ethics class.
You're pathetic.
Many multiplayer-only games get great reviews. Look at Team Fortress 2.
Many singleplayer-only games get bad reviews. Look at The Order: 1886.
Agreed. This is just a website made by some kid. The article is clickbait. As the first comment pointed out: "Jason, your review has grammatical errors and you use the word 'solid' 3 times in your conclusion."
N4G,
I'm thankful for art -- music, movies, books, games, TV -- everything.
This year I made the mistake of moving cross-country for love. I left my family, my friends, my job, my school, and my house to be with my girlfriend of two years. Four days after moving in with her, she breaks up with me. I lost everything. I'm in an alien city without a job, without school, no family, no friends. At one point I was living out of a hotel room and my car.
See: Battlefield 1943.
Yes, please. Make it $20 -- one third of the price. No campaign. No zombies.
What are you talking about? Rayman Legends is awesome and has a 90+ metacritic score in nearly every single platform it's published on.
Twisted Metal is still awesome.
Command and Conquer is still awesome.
And Time Crisis is in nearly every movie theatre arcade.
VIII was divisive? I didn't know that. I think in retrospect everyone views VIII as a "regular" final fantasy game like 3-7. And of course my current avatar is for FFIX, which is -- imo -- the best.
