Strange article. I would agree with the comment below that not every new mode needs to be in every new game. It's like saying "We asked about the scenario of Battle Royale on the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn, and the reply was not something we like". Doesn't even make any sense.
It's sad tho because other people come and read their nonsense and then are turned off due to their misinformation. I really hope the game ends being immersive and nuanced, rather than try to pander to these clowns who only like what they have previously experienced.
Nice, I can't wait for this. All those armchair developers and commentators should really wait until the game comes out to judge. You want a third person adventure, go play Witcher 3, CD Project is more than free to go first person with Cyberpunk if they want, and owe no explanation to anyone. If you don't like the first person perspective, don't get the game.
And don't get me started on political and moral themes, there needs to a lot more of that as wel...
I'm glad XBOX owners can finally play this game. I purchased it day one, and like everyone, I was a bit disappointed, but the hate for this game is really unwarranted. Granted, it's not for everyone, but it wasn't a bad game at all. Unfortunate that the hype created by some choice words by Sean Murray garnered the backlash it did. Glad they are finally back on track.
If you like chill games to just pass the time, this should be your jam.
This game really has me hyped. I was sold when the Samurai rolled up on the Mongolian soldiers murdering a citizen, and he says "Bastards, enough!"
The body language of a disciplined Samurai, who is obviously showing his human emotions of rage and sympathy (and preparing to wreck shop) was phenomenal. I hope this sort of attention to detail is what we see going forward in gaming.
The moment can be seen in this link, see if you agree.
Perhaps I missed this among all the other news that was dropping, but is Cyberpunk 2077 a current gen (PS4, XBOX) game, or for future consoles? Seems very ambitious and the level of fidelity seems quite high as well. I think DF speculated, but they didn't seem to know either.
Once again, I have never played Gears, but I think it is awesome that fans are getting more of what they love.
However, back to my original question. I think you proved part of my point, the story (Gears 4) eluded to this female protagonist being a huge part of the Gears 5 story. In The Last of Us 1 expansion, Ellie obviously had a crush on another girl, and it was clear she (Ellie) would have a huge role in the sequel. Why is it that with TLoU 2, some are screaming of t...
A quick question. I just watched the trailer for GoW5, and realized that the hero is female. Has this gotten the same charges of a "liberal/SJW agenda" that say TLoU2 has gotten? I don't really follow the XBOX, but thought the best place to get an honest answer is in a thread such as this.
If not, is that a double standard/hypocrisy?
The game looks great BTW, good for MS fans.
Edit: We can also add into the mix Battlefie...
@KionicWarlord222
Decided to check out your comment history before I responded to you, glad I did to confirm my suspicions. Your comment, while you are entitled to it as it is your opinion, sounds so salty.
"And the fans defending it need to knock it the hell off":
I genuinely enjoyed the trailer, and it did nothing but get me more excited for the final game. However, unlike you, I can admit that this game may not be for everyone. Bu...
@UCForce
I agree with your comment. Kojima has always been on the more eccentric end of the spectrum when it comes to his games, and Death Stranding seems to be no different. His games tend to explore more nuanced themes that may not really resonate with everyone. I, for one, was satisfied with what I saw at E3, and I appreciate the air of mystery that Kojima fosters.
As I have said time and time again, no matter what he showed, there would be someone ...
I think the developer is trying to parse words. I read the comment as "no compromises" when it comes to gameplay, not presentation. But I think your point is well taken, obviously, there will be a difference. A better response would be for them to admit they are making some concessions, but they are working hard to make sure the experience meets certain quality standards by working with the specific hardware and the limitations it posses.
I am yet to play this g...
@blu3_puls3
I think you may be onto something. On a related topic, I downloaded BlackOps III the other day for my PS4 since it was included with PS+, and I must say I was shocked at the quality level. Hit detection was questionable in MP and the single player portion left me wondering what the hell I was playing. I bring all of this up to say that maybe losing SP isn't so bad since it didn't seem to be that great in 3. Maybe it will give them more resources to p...
This goes without saying. We still have the Tokyo Game Show later in the year, and Sony usually has a few gems to drop on their fans at that event. Can't wait.
This is interesting. I appreciate when developers try new things, video games have so much untapped potential for storytelling and theme exploration. Can't wait to get more information about this masterpiece in the making.
There is 100% chance that any face they put would cause an issue with someone. The faces look fine, the game seems like it will be a treat for old and new fans which is the point at the end of the day. I say if the faces make you that upset, there are more serious issues going on than the game itself.
The setup was perfect. Love the direction this is going for sure, not to mention the tech behind the game. Naugty Dog is at the forefront of taking video games to the level of the best movies in terms of atmosphere and storytelling. As a guy who loves a good story, I like the fact that they are choosing to depict Elle as a hero who doesn't fit the mold, setting up complex dilemmas that will surely factor into the motivation throughout the game.
As a lifelong gamer, I...
So in essence, it's not your cup of tea, and you don't plan on getting it. That's awesome, great to know this.
Haha, not gay, but I see no issues with it. Obviously these women were modeled after real life actresses, so since you are so eager to call them ugly or not up to your standards, would be nice to see who is judging them.
But your initial reaction speaks volumes. If you have or ever have children, and I pray you never do with those values, I can only hope you get your act together. I feel sad for people like you, enjoy the rest of E3 man.
Unfortunately, it seems that as games get bigger, there is more of a chance that there will be bugs. I can't think of a game of this scope that doesn't have them, and I'm sure being procedurally generated doesn't help matters much. On a positive, the NEXT update was a huge leap in the right direction, hopefully, they continue to improve.
