Looking at this thread it absolutely is underrated and whats more I am almost positive the vast majorities of you all degrading Rare's output have never spent any significant amount of time playing their titles whatsoever.
A flurry of good but not great games from Xbox to the 360 and then Sea of Thieves which I hold as an all time great game (now, certainly not when it launched). Sea of thieves is the best pirate game out there and some of my favourite gaming memories have been had.
I think a few of their games are underrated such as Banjo N&B and the Viva Pinata games but the core developers from the heady N64 games are all largely gone as far as I know.
Looking forward to this very much, I know its been a bit mixed on response but I've never had a bad experience with an Arkane game and I am sure I will enjoy this game for what it is on its own merits.
To be fair it was the exact same on the other side, it was a very hyped game and a great get by Sony until M$ bought Bethesda.
I've never actually gotten round to playing this, despite it ticking almost all of my boxes! Just got too many damn games to get through and they all all looooong games. With AC Odyssey dropping on Gamepass there's another 80 hour game I want to play.
I wouldn't say they are acting like spoil children, completely hypocritical yes but at the end of the day this is business and Sony wouldn't be doing their jobs if they weren't trying to wring every little bit of concession they can from this deal going through.
Call of Duty on Game Pass is a huge get for the service. Especially if it transpires to be day one for the new releases like the rest of M$'s portfolio.
Its looking real good!
Except current foreign ownership of Sony is over 59%... its not even a majority owned Japanese company anymore.
Lol at that tweet, Alpine catching strays even from Call of duty.
There have been loads of SLASO runs done in Halo 2 though, I've done a few myself. I am guessing he is limiting a death to killing the run instead of just the mission but even thats not too crazy once you have run it a few times and know the tactics. Its more a test of patience and the ability to pull of some glitches than anything else.
Same, but I think we have to accept that Sony's exclusivity deal prevents it coming still, no matter what's been reported previously. You can tell by the fact they have already announced a day one release of the Crisis Core remake for xbox.
People still mod and tinker Morrowind and even Daggerfall to this day, not sure why you think the community won't be alive 3 years down the line.
If you think its big now, come back in 3 years once modders have added every known star wars planet and other worlds from every franchise you can think of to it.
Ngl while I appreciate the everything releasing in 12 months heres gameplay approach, this show is leaking in those teases and surprises that give a show excitement and buzz.
Amazing little gem. Can be hard and doesn't hold your hand at all but that is its charm. Highly recommended and scour those instruction manual pages...
Agreed, I think Cyberpunk 2 would have been what Witcher 3 was to Witcher 2.
Ooft thats a big call but ultimately will prove the correct decision no doubt.
Yes I am sure American Politicians are going to be very interested in stopping a US company using its assets and purchasing power to the benefit of a Japanese company...
It absolutely is good and a modern day classic. It has returning players in the millions and a strong twitch presence, so its not like its easily forgotten as you claim.
