Halo on Playstation, what a day.
As a Halo fanboy, as nice as its going to be to replay the OG in shiny new graphics, this is an unbelievably low effort and I can't really be excited for a second remake of Halo. I actually really liked Halo Infinite and abandoning it for this is pathetic.
Halo studios is creatively bankrupt.
Hopefully far less bloat, awful needless changes and we find out Chadley has been killed in between games.
Hopefully its less of a butchering than the first two have been. On the whole I still enjoyed part 2 but my god some of the changes are godawful and cringy.
Should hand the franchise over to the main Yakuza dev team to compelte with Yu just giving story beats. I actually really enjoyed Shenmue 3 for what it was but the game would benefit from the modernisation that Ryu Ga Gotoku would bring along with a much speedier development cycle.
It won't really be a true reflection of what marketshare the Xbox platform would have of the game if it had released day and date. I would have been a day one buyer but its been out for so long I've since bought it on my PC and I can't imagine I am alone in that.
On the game itself I thought it was extremely disappointing and such a dull game outside of the big boss moments. Had a potentially great story and I just don't think they delivered on its potentia...
As much as I enjoyed playing each part I can't imagine that playing all 3 at once will be an enjoyable experience. There is a lot of slog in those games that would add up if you powered through all of them at the same time.
The graphics on PC are insane, the console version isn't as impressive but still a good looking game.
But why? I mean cool and all just seems a bit random. Now if they could set a mode in Rebirth that makes these Brutal challenges easier then I am all for it...
I only see a Steam machine somewhat console priced as anything that would endanger Sonys dominance at this point.
A lot of these reviews were done prior to the massive patches that have arrived int he last day or so. Its improved it a lot. Still got some rough edges and bugs to iron out but its by no means a tech mess thats unplayable in its launch condition.
The reality is that I know this console is largely a waste of money and I should cancel my pre-order. But who cares and especially after yesterdays nonsense I want something shiny that will put a smile on my face, regardless of how 'sensible' a choice it may not be.
The real benefit of the Pro is probably going to be in the titles that aren't well optimised, as unsatisfying as that may be. Games with dips from 60/30 etc will run smoother and that isn't going to be reflected in comparisons with the level of polish Sony's first party games tend to be at.
That's definitely happening a lot with PC ports just now.
a high price at start of generation is fine by me. I'd rather pay £700 for a great machine that doesn't need a pro version halfway through the generation than less for a compromised machine.
Lol
£700.00 lol thats an easy pass. This is what we get when Sony has no real market competition.
It isnt, we just like working in our PJs and surrounded by our pets more than our co workers.
Global inflation combined with Sony having such a large share of the console market they can do whatever they like and you will damn well accept it.
Its been cool to hate on Bethesda since M$ bought them.
