I don't read many articles from Destructoid but if that's the case, then I'd say that their grounds for reasoning are ill-founded.
He is not bashing the innovation of the game, rather he is saying the developers of the game are trying to compare an experience of a game to a movie which shouldn't be the case, especially for a case like Heavy Rain which, seeing as how good it is, should stand on its own merits, which I believe it will since it is a different kind of game. I somewhat agree with what he is saying, but then again, there's nothing else to compare it to than a cinematic experience offered by movies. Maybe the a...
only that it will be a reboot of sort, a re-imagining. He's indirectly preparing people for the official announcement of the reboot, more specifically the fans of the franchise. He's being very specific in his statement.
But I have to say, after seeing Uncharted, I think they can do a better job with facial expressions. Voice acting too could use some refining, but I think its too far into production to improve in that area. However, it really does look like it's going to be a great adventure/mystery, it seems rich in atmosphere.
though I still say that the other art for regular box looked better than this one, not bad anyway. Gosh, I wish the trailer would release today, Feb 11 is too far for me.
but let's see what happens though, this could very well be coming to PS3 or some variation of it sometime in the future.
but come on, it isn't that scary, at least not on par with Silent Hill (older games) or even Siren. I hope they don't change anything, it's fine the way it is. Better yet, they should tone up the scare in the sequel.
this way disc-swapping can be avoided. However, if it doesn't bother people it's not much of a problem, it takes less than a minute anyway. However, I do wonder why they aren't porting this game to PS3, I mean the vision for Mass-Effect would surely benefit from the storage capacity offered by the Blu-ray, wonder how the game will turn out then. Anyways, can't wait to get my hands on this thing.
this close up doesn't seem like a natural transition from the previous box-arts (of previous games). I really do hope they change it, but to each his own, right. But box art hardly matters when the content of the box is going to be disc full of epic journey, which I'm anxious to get my hands on :D.
I can't wait any longer, at least a new video would satisfy my appetite till the release date. Spoilers don't bother be much 'cause I know when I get the game, the impact would be amazing regardless. Anyways, I hope we get to see Atlantis in this game, I was looking at the making of GOW-II and noticed they scrapped the Atlantis level. It looked magnificent, it'd be a shame if it's not in it.
perhaps you guys are right.
today would be the best time to post that video, since many have waited this long for the embargo to lift. New Screens are welcome, but honestly it is unfair to us for them to not show us this video asap.
I thought when the embargo lifts, we all would be allowed to see the new stuff.
The Art Is Awesome! Better than the superimposed image of Kratos' face.
Or are the discs already in production?
Anyways, now everybody's happy.
Why does everything negative seems to be like a jab at the PS3 to you guys, it's not like everything's perfect. I myself have found those numbers to be quite bothersome. It would be easier if they just simply implement the ratings system. Anyone can figure things out if they spent enough time fiddling around or researching, but the point is that things should be easier for everyone from the get go. Not every body is going to be happy with complex system, especially parents.
Ever...
I have to say that GOW-III has done a better job at them. Just look at Kratos, he looks more realistic in terms of design and textures: while Drake I'm sorry to stay still has that plastic mannequin look though extremely detailed. But the environment designs are breathtaking in Uncharted so I'm anxious to see how those compare with GOW-III.
Yeah :D. Honest mistake lol.
and I got that yesterday, finally! Also I think multiplayer fans would have appreciated the great deal for Left 4 Dead 1 few days ago. I like Steam for putting out these great packages. Really worth the money. I just couldn't believe the Eidos pack, so many games for such a low price.
there goes my eagerly anticipated horror game down the drain, all that will be left is action. Despite whatever they said, I'm still hoping that it'll be at least something like its predecessor in terms of horror.
