why did they remove that "battle"? From the description of Argus, it sounds like the creature from Lovecraft Shoggoth, which too had many eyes but it was more gelatinous than solid. I hope somethings make it back into the game in form of DLC. More boss battles are OK with me.
I find myself playing DS more often as it has quite a library of interesting games. I usually play big name games on PSP such MGS, GOW, and GT and use it for movies while on the go, O and yes for PS1 classics as well.
definitely, I hate having to switch to WEP for connectivity. And I don't want to shell-out $40 for a Wifi accessory.
just add one more thing to the list, better sound effects and its all good :).
The last game wasn't the most terrifying but it was miles better than origins though, however, I hope this new game explores a whole new dimension of fear while the keeping the essence of the original titles alive.
it doesn't make any sense at all. If we do go by his perspective, in that case Halo also didn't redefine the online game-play and Gears didn't redefine how we play shooters with darn good cover-system and so on. Exclusivity has little to do with innovation, it only just limits the masses from enjoying it, but this is more of a choice than a restriction. Whether U2 redefined the genre or not, his statement is faulty, imo.
I have been waiting for this to come out for so long but now that it is out, they had to release Theatrical Cut only. Why couldn't they just release the Extended Cuts? Now I've to wait :(.
looks like crap, 'cause it only speaks action in there. As some pointed out, what bugs me the most is Alice, why not focus on actual characters from the game!? It's just pathetic excuse to make it seem original, well if it's originality they want, why the heck rip off action movies such as Matrix in other aspects of the movie, as its ridiculously obvious from some scenes. Sad thing is I'll still end up watching it 'cause I am a fan of RE and have to make do with what I got, plus if I forget i...
hopefully the game-play would be tons better than last Spidey games. Especially the voice acting, they need a better voice actor for Spidey. Maybe get the guy who did his voice for new Spectacular series. Spidey voice actors have pretty much sucked after Spider-Man 2 Enter Electro for PS1, none of them sound appropriate for Spider-Man. Plus, I hope they restrict this game in terms of freedom to go anywhere you want, or at least create diversity in missions if it is to be open-world game.
I have to agree Soul Reaver definitely has a cool opening movie and theme, I honestly can't get enough of it. Wish they'd make a new one.
The more we strive towards unity, the better it'd be for all of us. However, I am shocked to see how many people voted against it, it's sad that people have to be this way.
given their history, I'll wait and see if they come out with another version of 3DS, and they usually make improvements after the initial run of the hardware.
just save that money for 3DS or PSP-II (since they are sure to be backwards compatible), whichever you prefer. Don't buy any current hand-held (that is PSP or NDS) at this stage, unless your okay with spending money over new device again. It'd be worth the wait.
I'm glad I didn't buy DSi, 'cause it was released right after I purchased DS lite :P, but I think jumping straight over to the next successor would be more prudent at this stage 'cause from the sound of it, it will have the camera function. Plus the vibration pack, speedy online, and tilt sensor all look appealing, and of course the 3D. Furthermore, if the rumors about the graphics are true, and with the catalog of games under Nintendo (Professor Layton, Mario, Pokemon, Ace Attorney) it'll on...
I mean same old static pokemon battles with screeching sounds are getting old. Plus, they could have different camera angles for different parts of the game. Say when we meet an enemy or some sort of little cut scene is playing, have the camera zoom into the area so we can see actual 3d models of the characters interacting. Perhaps have some voice work?
I have really wanted to get a Wii, but there haven't been many games that really appealed to me except for a few. However, getting something similar but bit more refined on PS3 seems like a great deal. I love motion-control, and even like Natal, so I'm very pumped for both techs to be honest. I'd really love if they made a quality Star Wars title that supports Move, I have always liked that about Wii, sword fights.
MGS-4 is the best game I have played that has a strong, emotionally driven story. Even after playing Uncharted, & GOW, & other numerous games, I just didn't find myself caring for their respective characters as much as I did care for Snake. I think it's the way the story was played out with all the flashbacks, music, and references, just added to the mood.
Not saying other games didn't accomplish this, but that, in my opinion, MGS did it better.
Zeus finale was a let down. Any fight in GOW-III is better than Zeus'. I mean he was the king, why the heck did they reduce him to cloning himself and not supposedly bringing down thunder from the sky and calling all sorts of other things to aid him take down Kratos. The last fight should have been doubly chaotic, as it was THE FIGHT. The ending was good though, it's just the last battle that felt like a big disappointment when I compare first fight with the last one.
But interesting nonetheless. Hope we find out soon enough.
but I love cutscenes in a game, especially Metal Gear. I find they help with the overall effect of the story. I like 'em when they are played the old fashioned way, and not in the way where we can have our character walking around the stage, though nothing's wrong with that, just my personal preference.
