I can live without owning an Xbox, but I want it to be around. I've had my share of good moments and experiences with it at my friends'. Also competition is a good thing for the industry.
@CDbiggen,
To be honest, the more this topic is discussed, the better. True, this might not be the correct place for it, but it's not entirely off topic in this case..
@saladfax,
Get back to this planet. That sounds nice and all on paper, until you add reality to the table. A few short points why a dedicated device is better for gaming than a do-it-all device.
- iPad has to be thin, thin devices produce a lot of heat.
- Because of those physical limitations there are certain limits to what kind of hardware the iPad can have.
- iPads and other tablets and smartphones are prone to overheating in continuous res...
Sony gives a s#!t. It doesn't matter for them if they sell their consoles in Japan, Europe, US or on the damn moon. A sale is a sale and PSP is still going very strong.
Were you laughing at him or his comment?
Agreed. I don't know about Peace Walker yet, because I'm saving it for the last but so far I've got platinum from MGS2 (man, that was a tough one) and am currently playing MGS3 and both of those games still hold up in quality and playability against current gen games (not talking graphics here..). Not to mention the stories, which are one of the best stories there is.
Why are they asking about online, when they should be taking the game back to the drawing board? They need a new engine because no matter how much they sugarcoat it, it's still the very same PS2 engine and it makes the game boring when we gamers are used to so much better.
I feel you man. I'm from Finland though but sometimes I feel like you have to be 20 years old with a 3rd degree and 10 years of work experience plus a driver's license for a frickin space shuttle to even get to an interview for a job.
Because tablets and phones are lacking in controls and games compared to dedicated handhelds and no matter how much more powerful they become, they won't still compare to 3DS or Vita.
I didn't like the battle system in 13 & 13-2. 12's battle system was something else though, I absolutely loved how you could make any member be anything you wanted and tell them exactly what you wanted them to do in certain situations.
13 & 13-2 cut heavily on that freedom and diversity and replaced it with certain moulds you had to follow for each character with minimal control (compared to 12) on how you wanted to develop them.
Buttons, analog sticks and games. That's three extremely relevant reasons why I'll take any console or handheld from either MS, Sony or Nintendo over anything Apple comes up with for gaming.
And buttons. I like buttons, especially on my controllers.
Wow, what next? Extra garments (Those stupid little trinkets you can torture your monster allies with.) for your monsters as DLC?
I only have one word to say here: Crapcom.
Not that I'll be buying this game anyway, at least not anytime soon after release.
That is a bad comparison IMO. Each AC game has had it's own beautiful areas and more importantly good stories and interesting lore. The gameplay hasn't changed much, but we've seen improvements with each new AC game. And now they're going for a completely different style of setting and bringing a new engine with AC3. So tell me again, how is this anything like CoD?
Why? There's a gazillion Vita doom articles, why can't we have some positive views for a change?
Just because they are numbered it doesn't mean that they think that the best thing about Vita is that screen.
@SaffronCurse
Indeed, especially when you break yourself of frustration because the game doesn't do what you want it to do, lol.
And you fail to acknowledge that we're talking about games, not phoney games. (Pun intended.)
You do realize that Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are in a whole different league, hell, they're in a different universe compared to Apple when it comes to games?
I don't know about last, but it will be my first!
SE are the new kings of lame DLC.
