Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. One of my favorite games of all time.
Edit: It's actually a prequel, but it's so good I'll leave it here anyway.
How are they any less "on PS3" if they are on Xbox360 too? "On PS3" =/= "PS3 exclusive".
I never even check the trophy list until I've completed the game at least once. Then if I enjoyed the game enough, I'll go for all/most/some trophies. There are some trophies I will give up on and not even try to get, most of them are "Reach level 500000 in MP" etc. I don't usually play MP at all and I hate repetitive grinding. Also if I don't like the game, I'll leave the trophies too.
Also unlike you I often go back to good games even if I have...
"Couple of" <- Understatement of the day.
Awful lot of crap approved lately. Lots of 1st person descriptions, broken links etc. Those who approve when they shouldn't, should have their contributor status removed.
Back on topic: MVP is lame.
I don't see any difference between now and then.

I know there is. I'm not saying Vita and 3DS won't take a hit because of phones and tablets, what I'm saying is that it's definitely not game over for them either.
Also you should consider that during the glory days of GameBoy, were there any other viable options for mobile gaming? Not really. Now casual gamers can have one device that fulfills their needs, a phone.
It's only natural and to be expected that a big part of the casual audienc...
I believe you made a small mistake there. :) 3DS is less powerful than Vita, not more. But I got your point and agree.
Smartphone is like a Swiss Army Knife, it can save you in times of desperation but 99% of the time there is a dedicated tool which simply does what it's supposed to do better than an all around device.
*sigh*
Dedicated gaming handhelds are superior by nature. Why? Because they have buttons and analog sticks. A tablet or phone will never be enough for my mobile gaming needs. They have and will take their part of casual gamers, but most hardcore gamers prefer to have buttons.
A very good read and I pretty much completely agree with this OP.
I personally hope enemy AI to be something that would be changed by difficulty settings too. Simplified example: enemies are dumb on easy, moderately intelligent on medium, very tactical on hard. In most games it seems like enemies are set to dumb mode across all difficulties. Even adding different kinds of behaviors to different enemies (even if they're physically the same enemy as another one) randomly wo...
A device with only a touchscreen as a control device will never be able to truly compete with traditional methods of control, ie. buttons and analog sticks. Phones and tablets have taken a chunk of the casual side of mobile gaming, but there will always be people who want more from their mobile gaming device. Also it doesn't matter if a phone or tablet is more powerful than 3DS or Vita, because they are limited from the start compared to dedicated gaming devices.
First of all most Sony exclusives sell decent to great, a handful pretty badly. It's a common misconception that PS3 exclusives don't sell well, a majority of them has reached the 1M mark and a nice amount have sold multiple millions. Secondly, no matter how poorly a game sells, it can be very memorable to an individual gamer.
You may not have enjoyed PS3 exclusives as much as me for example, but you shouldn't call them forgettable on behalf of any other people.
Every retailer has placeholder dates. They pretty much have to if they want to take pre-orders before the announcement of an official release date.
Lack of logic is strong in this article.
The author gives little to no reasons on why he thinks Kratos is a jerk. Let's start from the beginning. Kratos was a spartan war general, on the verge of destruction and death in front of the barbarian army. He called out to Ares to save him and offered his soul in exchange.
Not long after, he was raiding a town and raided a temple, where he killed everyone in sight. Keep in mind, Ares was now in command. After the smoke cleared, he realized he had killed his wife and so...
For someone like me who doesn't have the most stable or plentiful income, they can be useful for those must have games, sometimes I simply don't have enough money to buy a brand new game, but every now and then I can do that if I pre-order and pay it when I have that money available.
The free stuff that comes with pre-orders is pretty useless in most cases though.
I assume you haven't even played the God of War games, let alone on their hardest difficulties.
Back to your cave troll.
Fast-paced action takes the horror away from horror.
Exactly, well said.
The only time sales matter to a gamer is in the beginning of a consoles lifetime, because at that point sales can have huge affect on how developers are willing to make games for it. Also if a console flops, that's bad news for early adopters so it's understandable to be worried about how much that console sells in it's first year or two. But now that Xbox360 and PS3 are starting to age and have proven their worth, it shouldn't really matte...
I know who's the worst of the bunch. Captain Lamerica.
That was fake. A shady ad on some site, and people reported it asked for gamertag and about achievements, not PSN name and trophies.
