They kept almost all of their promises, but I personally wasn't very excited about most of them anyway. Especially the emphasis on Kinect put me off.
Then what are these? Soul Sacrifice, Gravity Rush, Little Deviants, Escape Plan, Resistance: Burning Skies, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Unit 13, Sound Shapes? A couple of them are very similar to existing PS3 games, but are still unique games.
Nice job at forgetting all unique Vita games and all 3DS ports to spin the story to your liking.
He's still working as a freelancer to finish the game. Santa Monica Studios is helping too so I believe we will get it eventually.
His idea isn't even completely copied into the AC games. They only share a few similarities, which is not grounds for suing for plagiarism. It's not illegal to take an idea or concept, modify it and gain profit. And hell, I said that giving you the benefit of assuming that Link was indeed the very source of some parts of AC.
If you so adamantly believe this man should be paid to by Ubisoft, then following the same (faulty) logic you agree that Steven Spielberg and Geo...
Rumor...
edit: Lol, forget about that, I'm having a slow day..
And how will that make my cloud gaming better, if more people in the States have heard of it? What a weird set of priorities. I've heard that Gaikai is better, so go with the better service.
The book and AC games have some similar themes, and the guy is suing because of plagiarism, which is nowhere to be seen. A handful of similarities does not equal to plagiarism. Ubisoft might not be a charity company, but it still deserves to be defended when they're sued without any real basis for that lawsuit.
By that logic CoDs are 5 hour games. And by logic I mean pretending that multiplayer doesn't exist.
I was criticizing Activisions habit of taking a successful franchise and milking it with yearly re-releases and minimal progression compared to most other franchises. Remember Tony Hawk & Guitar Hero? I only wish for the control to be back in IWs hands.
Your parents must have forgot to add points to your reading comprehension skill. :/
Keep dreaming buddy. Not as long as they're in Activision's leash.
IDK, I didn't read the article. O.o
I must have missed something. When did gaming ever disappear?
Back on topic, my fav 5 in no particular order:
Rockstar
Naughty Dog
Valve
Bioware
Bethesda
I absolutely loved this game. It had it's flaws but made up for it in mood, story and unique gameplay elements. I've always been a huge sucker for detective stuff, I had those detective toy kits as a kid and have spent thousands and thousands of hours with detective movies and books. I had a thrill playing this game and I completed all the missions with 5 stars without using a guide. It's my 3rd favourite game of last year just behind Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Uncharted 3.
If it went down that route, I'm pretty sure a huge amount of gamers would choose the option to opt out and not buy it. I know I would. I believe Sony knows this and hope they are wise enough to not make it mandatory for the sake of keeping their customer base happy.
Shortly put: Sony must tell us if they're doing this. If they choose to do it, they have to either give us an option to switch it off or risk losing a lot of customers. I believe the chances that Sony will...
Like GraveLord said, you don't have to buy or use the PS Eye. There, done. You can take your tinfoil hat off now.
Integrated camera? You can just block it. Also, if you didn't notice, there has been integrated cameras on laptops, tablets and phones for a while now. They could be potentially spying on you just as well as a console's camera. Why aren't people being paranoid about them? I'll tell you why.
It would be illegal to use cameras to...
Obvious inspirations do NOT equal to being a rip off. RE4 was not the first or only game to do any of the things you listed. Almost every single game these days have those obvious inspirations and things that have been done before. There has to be something more than a handful of similarities for a game to deserve being called a rip off.
Dead Space ripped off RE4 just because it has not so fluid controls, laser sight and 3rd person view...? Wow, I'm amazed how easily some people use the term today.
How was this fake PoS approved? 10GB of VRAM + working RAM? Really?
As a gamer, who wants more and better games from my console, I find that list horrifyingly dull.
Services? No thanks, I have every service I need on my PC/TV/SGS2. For me consoles are 99% for playing games.
From a gamer's point of view, more games is better. Also a lot of PS3 exclusives sell well too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

It's just not that simple. CELL and PS2's CPU we're so different that PS3 needed a separate chip just for PS2 BC. That chip can't be replaced with an emulator so that you wouldn't need to go through every single PS2 game and apply fixes and patches to make them all work properly.
