Most series' sequels are usually better than their previous entries. There are a lot of examples where the 2nd game of a series is better in many ways than the first: Assassin's Creed, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, God of War, LittleBigPlanet, Batman: AA/AC etc.
But it can't go on forever. If continued for too long, the series is at great risk of becoming stale and repetitive. Also sometimes a sequel is technically better than the sequel due to a generation lea...
I have always enjoyed villains who are portrayed as overwhelmingly powerful and seem to be impossible to defeat. If the game manages to make you feel hopeless and desperate then something has been done right.
Also a good villain is more than an overpowered warrior. He needs to have goals that make you truly horrified and a history that from his point of view justifies his actions.

I never implied anything like that. If you ask me, there's no reason at all to think of Forza as a GT clone, because it's incredibly difficult to create a driving simulator game without making it very similar in many ways to previous games in the same genre. Also I know the two franchises have their differences.

You're getting disagrees because you're basically saying that all other games copying one successful game is good. Which clearly is not a good thing. Taking inspirations and a handful of mechanics from good games is OK, but there are a lot of games that would've been better if they had tried to do their own thing instead of trying to be as much like CoD for example.
A large portion of market share still doesn't make the competing devices doomed. They can and will continue to co-exist just like PC gaming and consoles have done. No logic there whatsoever.
