True. The most rewarding trophies are the ones that are not necessary for the games completion, but are either difficult or just weird/fun stuff to do. Getting a gold trophy for simply completing a game feels stupid to me, unless it's on the hardest difficulty.

If you let yourself be too concerned about them to the point when you can't really enjoy the game as it is anymore, then that's your fault. If you don't like achievements or trophies, just stop paying attention to them.
My Slim's fan started making strange sounds like a week ago. It didn't have warranty anymore so I sold it to a tech wizard friend of mine who fixes and sells forward cases like these. Got 150€ for it and just bought a Super Slim today for 249€. Not a bad deal at all because I was in need of another DualShock and they're 50€ here.
The slim had the startup beep too and it never woke up my wife with the living room door closed.

That's terribly uncomfortable for my neck and unsafe for my phone when in a moving car. These peripherals are very impractical unless you can secure your phone to the controller.

True, but at the same time new spots and opportunities are opened for new developers to step up. I'm sure there's plenty of very capable and gifted people who want to develop games for dedicated gaming systems.
I'm one trophy away from Burnout Paradise platinum. I've spent 10 hours driving around the stadium trying to get other 7 players come there. There's always at least one dickhead who won't come even if I ask nicely and set a challenge. *sigh* Guess I should try again some day.
If internet, books, movies and even music is ready for sex, then gaming sure as hell is ready too. Some gamers may not be, but that's no reason to keep sexual content away from games.
I was under the impression that they really hadn't confirmed what this project exactly was, a true remake or just a HD remaster. Maybe there's some hope left if that's true.
I'll just bookmark this and send you a link in 2018 when we will perhaps have a trailer.
Other HD re-releases have released fairly quickly after their announcements. In this case it's been a year and not a single screenshot has been shown. Either they are making a proper remake, or this is going the same route as FFv13. I just can't raise my hopes high with SE anymore.

Everyone wants FFX HD, FFVXIII, FF Type 0 western release and KH3. A tiny minority wants XIII-3, and the latter is the only one we can count on to be released quite soon.

FFX had true RPG combat and character development, NPCs to talk to, minigames to play, interesting and likable characters and a good story. FFXIII had none of those things.
