Don't tell me I'm not your supervisor! :P I have enjoyed playing some of it solo as well, the majority not so much though.
I've played quite a bit of it solo as well, but without an engaging narrative to push it along, it gets pretty boring really quickly. All in my opinion of course.
Judging from the amount of disagrees you have, it seems like it's a pretty big deal lol.
This whole one-side vs the other bullshit is so old. I quit commenting on this site pretty much for this exact reason. Sony did something good, great. Microsoft did something good, great.
But because one company did something later than the other it's a slimy situation. Really just a shame that people still fight about stuff like that when games are getting bett...
Pointing fingers does nothing to help the situation here. Clickbait articles like this are a huge part of the problem. People in general are whiny, doesn't matter if it's a gamer or a journalist or whatever. People just need to stop acting entitled and post legitimate concerns without being immature about things all the time.
Really @Eonjay? Have you ever read a comment thread on IGN, or Gamespot or even Reddit? Hell, even here on N4G. The comment you just posted is a prime example of that kind of junk.
As always, thanks for reading it!
Not technically true...for some games that feature works, but for like Just Cause 3, Dying Light and a few other bigger games, you can get into the game, but can't actually access content before it's fully installed. The Xbox One does the same thing. I'd say their install times are relatively similar in most cases now. Certainly not at the beginning when both consoles were released, but now it's about the same.
Yup! It's a shame their Kickstarter failed in some ways because they were going to do some really neat stuff with the Kinect in terms of how the AI interacts with players.
Nope I'm not actually haha. But, more so because I'm just not a fan of top-down games.
But even so, with The Division, most open world games have just felt really samey lately, and I'm burnt out on them. The last open world game I really sunk a LOT of time into was The Witcher 3, because I didn't feel like I was grinding to do better. I felt like I was always discovering something new, rather than hoping for a random loot drop for something new or better.
I really wasn't impressed with the beta. Didn't write the article, so maybe I didn't spend enough time with it, but it just felt like another grind focused game to get better and better loot. Can only grind through so many games before it just gets insanely repetitive.
Looks fantastic. Unreal Engine 4 really puts out some great looking games. Excited to see what the final product is like, since they really haven't said all that much about what the game plays like.
And that is why you have a second cup of coffee in the morning...lol. Sorry about that.

Heh, I need to finish college first...if Emerald was released on consoles I might have an issue. Not counting all the gosh darn games that have been released this year already that we've had to cover, 2016 has hardly started and it feels like the holiday influx already...lol
Emerald...man, I feel old. Spent way, way too much time playing that game.
Personally, I'd really like to see a campaign in Destiny akin to what Bungie developed for the Halo series. They have so much to work with in terms of the lore they created, I don't see why they shouldn't include one. Even based on the sales, they could always do "better" by including even more content. Something Respawn Studios seems to have figured out with Titanfall 2.
Well, seeing as the author here ONLY focused on the major reviewers, I'd beg to differ. People can whine and complain about review scores, and how games are reviewed all they want, yet they continually go back to read that same publication. To find "good" reviews, you have to find an author you trust, NOT a publication.
Find reviewers that answer the questions you want answered about the product you're buying. Major publications don't have to try as har...
We're definitely looking to get in contact with DONTNOD about Life is Strange soon. Lots to talk about there. Hellblade is another one to keep an eye on as well, from a narrative perspective.
This was a really interesting interview to take part in. Too bad we couldn't line up Ken Levine for it as well, along with a couple other devs. Oh well, maybe next time!
It's technically still an "exclusive" title because it's not releasing on the PS4, or Wii U, just Microsoft platforms. So, I guess they need to word it to, "Exclusive to Microsoft Platforms".
I'm very hesitant after Ghosts. Probably the Call of Duty I liked the least behind MW3...both from IW.
