Definitely one of my favorite games this year. Really fun to play with a friend sitting alongside you as well.
You should definitely read the interview linked in the article. Will give you a much better idea of what the developers are making with Ashen :)
Think I need to go and play the first game after learning about this one. Sounds like a game that most people slept on.
"The fact that you equate that everyone disagreeing even cares about piracy , is actually sadder." - Really?
Where did I even say that? I was specifically pointing out that people were disagreeing with the fact that developers apparently don't deserve the money for their projects?
You took my comment completely out of context and ran with it, so nice job.
I don't agree with the OS taking control over content like that, but it...
If you're not doing anything wrong then what are you worried about?
The fact that you have more disagrees than agrees here saddens me quite a bit.
Damn people, how would you feel if you worked on a project only to see it downloaded illegally? That's money you earned just gone.
Lol, stretch goals are met all the time if the project is popular enough, and I can pretty much guarantee you that the popularity of this project due to its similarities with P.T. will get it funded.
All depends on what their goals are set for, that'll be the point to decide whether or not you want to fund.
Or working as a group effort to bring it to the platform you want to bring it to? That's why some of these games never make it, if everyone that wanted it on a certain platform pledged support, it'd probably happen just saying. If near the end of the campaign your stretch goal won't be reached, pull out.
Figured all this out without playing the game eh, classic.
Might wanna fact check which Peter you're using in your article...cause Molyneux definitely did not make those statements ha.
Necessary evil when articles of any editorial value usually get passed up on here for the latest controversial news story :) sorry not sorry?
I'm just excited to see what kind of Easter Eggs they put in Just Cause 3. The LOST island was so awesome. Too bad it was spoiled rather quickly though.
It's sorta funny/annoying for me to see comments like that and know how few people we're actually reaching lol. Every time I read an article like this on IGN, or Gamespot and people complaining about the lack of single player games I can't do much about it cause you know, spam haha.
It'd be nice for developers and big triple-A publishers to see just how important single player experiences are to people, kinda what the site was created for haha.
The only way I'd consider a game multiplayer only and have the same value as a single player experience are sandbox multiplayer games. Like, Rust, or MMOs or whatever. Arena based shooters that are multiplayer only become incredibly boring very quickly in my opinion as you play the same thing over and over again.
I'm currently writing up a counter argument to Moore's statements on the matter so I don't want to spill all my thoughts here, but there's only s...
I have such a fun time running OnlySP sometimes when it comes to statements like this. I mean, for Battlefront it's a little bit different given the track record of the title, but for games like Evolve, Titanfall and so on, the game dies when the player counts are low.
At least with a single player option in hand you can always come back to the game and it gives people more reason to purchase and hold onto it.

I hate the word so much. Lol
It's really great that CD Projekt RED was able to incorporate themes like this into a game and make them believable. They did it for so many of the side quests. While the main quests was really shallow, there's was always another side quest that explored themes of morality, family and so on.
It's not a galactic universe type game though. You'll be in star systems and have to warp from one to the next by gathering enough materials to do so.
The next 3 months is going to give me carpel-tunnel. Literally. There's a big new game coming out like every week until the second week of December...
