I'll be keeping an eye out for what they announce. I watched the Clannad anime and After Story was incredible. I also played a bit of the fan translated VN.
Sadly, I think it's going to come down to that again in order to play it in english, as I don't see something like this getting localized.
Still, it'll be interesting to see what they announce. I hope it's something new and not just a version of Clannad/Kanon/Air/Little Busters for the...
This is comforting news to me. I pre ordered my PS4 a week after E3, I believe. My store was already on their third allotment. I must have asked the clerk at least 3 times if I was assured a console on launch day, and they said I would be.
Still, though, it is something I worry about. This is the first time a pre ordered hardware, and I remember hearing about people getting their pre orders cancelled during the PS3/360 launch. My fear is that my store, which has over 30 preor...
Yeah, the 2DS announcement came out of nowhere. Nintendo tends to do stuff like this a lot. It's always fun waking up to some random announcement that no one was really anticipating. Nintendo are very, very good secret keepers.
I honestly thought it was a joke until I saw a hands on article from USA Today. Went to Nintendo's website and it was the first thing to greet me.
I don't like the thing at all, but it wasn't made for me. It was made f...
There will no doubt be a few moms searching in vain for "2DS games". Nintendo needs to make it abundantly clear that this can play every 3DS and DS game.
This was the game that grabbed my attention during the show. All of the other games tried to stand out in their own ways, but this is the one that really made me take notice.
Can't wait to hear more info on it. I hope it's going to be a big game with a good story to it. The art style and environments are great, though.
My view is play what you like. Personally, I still play Pokemon. It's still one of my favorite RPG series. That battle system is just as addicting to me as it was when I played red/blue. As long as the Pokemon games continue to be high quality, I have no problem playing them.
I also think that one game does not make a gamer. By that I mean, a person liking the Pokemon series means nothing in regard to immaturity or whatever playing Pokemon equates to nowadays. I'm a p...
I noticed this, too. It'll be interesting to see what the date is after hearing what Moore said.
Wasn't BF4 going to be a PS4 launch title?
The thing I noticed is that they implied that there's going to be no next-gen in October via what Moore said about Battlefield's release date.
So I guess the PS4 won't be launching in October after all.
I played the demo on the 3DS, and thought it was pretty cool. I did like some of the gameplay mechanics, and the castle looked good. The demo left me interested, but in more of a "When the price is right" kind of way.
I'm more of a 2D Castlevania fan. I hope we get another one of them eventually. Dawn of Sorrow and Order of Ecclesia are two of my favorite DS games.
Wow, those are some pretty great numbers for such a short time span.
I don't know how this will do in relation to other Pokemon games in terms of sales. The 3DS has a smaller install base, so I don't know how much that will effect things. My guess is over 5 million. I don't think that it'll reach Pokemon Black's 14 million, but I think it can realistically beat what Black 2 did, which was 6 million.
With the game launching worldwide this time, it'll be interesting to see how big of a spike this gives the 3DS. Japan going nuts over it shouldn't be a surprise, but I'm still kind of taken aback.
Bundles selling out makes sense, but selling out of the individual games is crazy. Especially with a game like Pokemon, where there's sure to be a ton of copies printed anyway.
Japan loves their Pokemon lol.
Wonderful 101 surprised me. When the game was first revealed, I didn't really think much of it, especially when it was revealed in the same show that Pikmin 3 was IIRC.
However, you could see this game improve as its dev cycle kept going. It simply looked better and better each time they showed it.
I think it could be a sleeper hit in this busy fall season.
They really made this game look beautiful. It's art style was always great, but the bump to HD does it SO many favors.
I love Wind Waker. I always thought it was one of the more underrated Zelda games. I think that the game wouldn't have gotten as much hate if Nintendo didn't show that Space World demo that got everybody's hopes up.
I've been here for about the same time as you, and I agree with everything you said.
I never understood why people reply to their own comments ranting about disagrees. It's just extra, useless stress on that person. I mean, I know sometimes it's easy to get a little to into discussions, but they're just little numbers.
I've never cared too much about disagrees. When I see one of my comments with disagrees, I check the comments above mine. I...
A very by the books presentation, but that's what was advertized. It's hard to expect surprises when they outright state they'll be covering existing stuff.
Layton vs. Ace Attorney was a bit of a surprise, though. It's nice to have that confirmed for the west.
Nice to have this confirmed. As a fan of both series, I'll be picking this one up.
I never really doubted this coming to the west. I've always thought that Layton's presence would prevent this game from being another Edgeworth 2 situation.
Nice little surprise, though.
I bought this one recently. It's good so far, but pretty difficult. It's definitely an old school type of game. I love the bold colors this game uses. They really make the game look gorgeous.
I'm not expecting any new announcements from Nintendo until the new year. They have a lot of stuff to hype between the two platforms this fall, and Nintendo Direct is a good way for individual games to get some good attention from the company.
Kodakawa looks like the favorite from what I've been reading/hearing. Which would be good, since that means Atlus would pretty much go about their business as usual.
At any rate, I think a 3rd party resolution is much more likely than a first party one. I honestly think this thing ends without fireworks.
The 10/10 has become so devalued over recent years. A 10 out of 10 used to be very rare, and a sign that a game was truly special IMO. Now it seems like nearly every big budget game gets at least a handful of them.
This is all IMO of course. I remember subscribing to magazines throughout my childhood, and I didn't see nearly as many 10/10's as I do now. Of course, some of that may have to do with the internet increasing the amount of reviewers for any particular game,...
