Oh man that grand final match was amazing.
The comeback by Sleepy, though. Holy crap that was extremely impressive.
Activision has more liquidity to make a console but I doubt they will.
Sega doesn't really have their heart in the game anymore.
Hm, the art in that game is really well done.
I agree that FPS can vary per game. It's definitely more egregious for things like NFS but it's also nice to see devs responding by at least listing the info on their page.
Hopefully more devs will do this or Valve will bring back the 30fps tag so it won't have to be a big thing just to know if a game is capped or not.
No it wasn't a sloppy Kickstarter compared to any other Kickstarter.
Pwnsause is right. ALL the media was concerned about was saying that the game was a scam or that Sony was scamming people or that Suzuki wasn't being legit. I didn't follow the Kickstarter but on social media and from outlets that's all I saw.
If I were a neutral why would I want to pledge money to a Kickstarter where the media is constantly saying that the game is a scam or...
I think Cliqist does great work covering a lot of the successes and failures of Kickstarter. A real essential pro-consumer source for crowd-funded projects.
Keep up the excellent work.
You're right about it being closer to God of War than Gears of War.
Also, that's a good point about using sex to sell products to female audiences but no one complaining about it.
The funny thing in this case is that the numbers literally show that the sexy ads are helping sell this game in spades. It's silly that Time is trying to find a way to spin this and say that it's NOT what males want.
It reminds me of the meme:
I do have to agree.
It's not like Shenmue was ever going to get made without crowd-funding.
Even as a gamer I wouldn't back Shenmue because the cost to market performance is absolutely bleak based on the past sales.
Hopefully things work out, but I still don't see this game selling rocketbusters.
@SlappyingOysters
A diet of just Red Bull and donuts from the Krispy Kreme next to the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant could likely result in dying from taking a s**t.
That stuff is toxic don't you know?
Man, I'm glad this game is still trucking on. I haven't had time to play it but I'm eager to see what the devs come up with for the final release.
I noticed the infographic left out the NFL and FIFA as well. I don't think e-sports is that popular... yet.
I used to be extremely critical of the Xbox One, but it's definitely turning into a must-own console, especially for this fall.
Spencer has earned a great deal of my respect with the way he's turned around the Xbox brand.
Apparently people who don't wash their hands and then smear brown residue on their thumbsticks.
On disc DLC by far. Graphics can be an issue of immersion, but there's nothing that rustles the Jimmies more than knowing that you just paid $60 for a game and there's $100 worth of DLC already on the disc that you can't access until you pay more to unlock completed content.
I've seen reputation managers using the excuse that the completed on-disc DLC has a "separate budget" from the rest of the game so it requires a difference price. BS.
...
I saw this on Kotaku in Action earlier today since it was heavily talked about on the GamerGate hashtag and how the special snowflakes were attacking the writers who came up with this.
What's worse is that the two writers are black and asian, but the SJWs are denying them their own existence and labeling them as white gamers/devs. Same thing they did to the people using the NotYourShield hashtag.
It's also awesome to see Gameranx tackle an issue that...
Nintendo hasn't even gone yet and fanboys are already trying to decide who won E3? SMH.
Actually, not really. It's going a step beyond that. Imagine that the "jiggle joints" we're mostly used to are setup like a single bone with a weighted ball at the end that simulates bounce based on force.
What he's using here is multiple independent particles to simulate actual soft physics (hence his use of FleX). And by that, it's aimed at creating the kind of bend, bounce, jiggle and reactions you might get from jelly, water or another form of c...
I like that Cliqist stays on top of these Kickstarter projects. I completely forgot about games like Kitaru.
It's nice that a gaming website out there actually takes consumer concerns into account.
Thank you, Cliqist. May you continue to be pro-consumer and grow steadily on the ashes of GJP-ran websites.
Ah, you're a fan of him, too?
SJWs must hate him.
That bomb juggle was a real treat. The crowd absolutely loved it. I hope more Japanese players get involved in the KI FGC scene because it would be cool to see them bring some new techniques to the community like what we saw at EVO.
