It was reminiscent of God of War, but I think that was only one aspect of the game. Maybe it's just next-gen, but what's going to set this game apart is the amount of people on screen at a time and the fact that the sword is actually draining your life, on top of all of the enemies attacking. It's also a completely different character, where Kratos was an angry guy who killed whoever came in his way and even ripped people apart, it looks like this game is going to be a little bit more gracefu...
This game is really amazing and the developers should be congratulated for their hard work, you easily get a different experience every time you play. I only play online.
We did see a glimpse of the gameplay at E3 and even at its early stages it still looked good and played fluidly. In my opinion, the story looks promising, having her life ticking away slowly and having to kill hundreds of enemies before the sword drains her life. Eh, it's all about what kind of game you want to play.
I think MS made a mistake by not taking this title into their hands.
Now I can't wait to see what he's going to show in terms of what the PS3 can do. I'm glad that he is making console-specific games because then you can truly satisfy both worlds, knowing that it was made just to optimize the strengths of your system.
I think people are first, eager to see if it lives up to the trailer, and second because the developers have the knowledge of their mistakes with the first one(i've never played it). I think this one might have a bigger production value too. Sony also has a lot more to prove with this game this time around, launching so late and all.
definitely a must-buy for me too
$100 dollars is crap, but what do you expect, it's GameStop, they won't give you a good deal.

Shadow of the colossus could make you cry. The storytelling, music, and the whole setting of the game just brought out all kinds of emotions. Fear, anger, companionship, loneliness.... I didn't cry though.
I'll reserve the judgement for people who have actually seen it and played it running on a 1080p HDTV at 60fps. Has it been done before? I can't think of a game that has done that this gen. But you shouldn't put down this game because of the hype Sony was getting last year, you should appreciate the developers for completely revamping this game and basically creating a new experience for PS3 owners who more than likely didn't play the XBOX version.
but from all of the details it just sounds like it's going to be epic. Battalions of thousands of enemies and a girl with a bazooka? I say damn! This could be Sony's flagship title for the summer, if that's when it's coming out.
If it ain't broke...
looks like a fun, run-and-gun type of game. I wasn't expecting too much graphically, but if it delivers non-stop action and good multiplayer options then I'm in.
I still have a problem with the girl though, I mean why can't they just give her a sword. I hate playing with long staff-like weapons, they always feel too stiff.
Exactly what I was thinking. At least give us the option of split-screen. Online is cool and all especially with a headset, but sometimes it's just way more fun to talk trash to a person sitting right next to you.
VirtualGamer-^^^^^ True, I agree that the full screen mode is always going to be better. Split-screen is a good option if you have more than one person in the room so they just don't have to watch you play.
I actually think Warhawk will be perfect for the tilt-functionality, it probably works the best with flying games.
Sometimes it pisses me off when I'm doing good and I'm at #1 and then some fool comes from behind me and spins me so I lose control or run into a rock. I've never yelled so much at a game.
